BGT Judges Confirmed

Rumours are that the panel consists of:

Simon Cowell
Amanda Holden
David Walliams

and

Alesha Dixon, as she has apparently quit Strictly...surprised by this if true.

Alesha was rumoured for last years X Factor but was apparently torn between the two. I wouldn't be surprised at all (and quite a good signing, always thought she got a rough deal on SCD). There are also rumours she is filling in for Amanda during the auditions but still stay for the live shows, so I bet she ends up eventually replacing Kelly on X Factor. BGT is probably her audition for that.

Alesha Dixon has announced that she is to join the Britain's Got Talent panel.

The 'Boy Does Nothing' singer declared that she is to judge the forthcoming ITV series mere hours after her departure from the Strictly Come Dancing panel.


She revealed on her website that she would be accompanying Simon Cowell, David Walliams and Amanda Holden on the new run of the show.

A statement on Dixon's site said: "Alesha has decided not to return to Strictly Come Dancing after a successful three-series run and will instead be joining the Britain's Got Talent panel, alongside Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and David Walliams."

A BBC spokesperson said of Dixon's Strictly departure this afternoon: "We wish her all the best. She has done three very successful series with us and we look forward to announcing our new lineup in due course."

Bet she will be by the end of the year with BGT back to 3 judges in time for next year. Would look a bit weird if she disappeared for the live shows and was replaced by Amanda

BGT was crap last year anyway and the ratings were down, won't be too long before it's off our screens for good. Alesha should have just stuck with Strictly which has a lot of life left in it.

Because Amanda and Ant & Dec wanted rid of Kelly Brook and Simon bricked it and that was his excuse

How exactly? She was already out of contract after the SCD final and Cowell must have approached her mid series. Alesha always has had ambitons outside of SCD and there must have been other reasons than money like to focus on her music.

BBC don't normally renew the judges contracts for SCD until a few months before the show starts anyway...

Yes she triples her salary but whilst there is no guarantee that SCD will last for ever, she had a BBC job secure for a very long time as they tend to be more loyal than ITV/SYCO

I would say she is a good dancer but no way ''cracking''. The likes of Jill Halfpenny have won SCD, and she was better than Alesha imo.
Cracking dancer is what i will call Ciara, Chris Brown, M-Jackson etc... but i guess it is all opinion.

He has his own show in America now which airs daily so it would be impossible for him to do both and he probably gets paid loads more for his own show than BGT. He was a crap judge anyway IMO.
