Justice and closure for Stephen's family at last but it will never bring him back:(, his family will rightly never rest until a few other people who are still consider suspects are also brought to justice...

It's a disgrace that it's taken 20 years for justice to be done. There were others involved-why have they not been brought to justice yet? My heart goes out to Stephen's parents.

A little silver lining on such a depressing festive period. So many murders over this Christmas, it's so sad :(

Sentencing tomorrow, hope they rot.

Interesting that the BBC tracked down and tried to approach a few of those still considered suspects but of course got no comment.

Heartfelt statement from Stephen's parents:bawling:.

Sentencing tomorrow, hope they rot.

AFAIK, there's every chance ..... but there seems to be no chance (ATM) of charging and convicting the remaining 3 murderers .....

The pair were sentenced at the Old Bailey under guidelines in place at the time of the attack and as juveniles because both had been under 18.

Afaik, juveniles are minors (under the age of majority), so you are right .....

It's scary to think there are people like that on the streets

Totally agree Kerry, with all your posts.
For me, I find it unacceptable and unforgiveable that they have for 18 years tried to avoid facing this charge. The suffering of the Lawrence family should have had a good few more years added to this sentence, they may well have been classed as juveniles when they committed the crime but they have avoided all ways of answering the charges and also volunteering any information whatsoever as full adults.

Its great that justice for the lad has been found. But its taken so long and just lengthened the family's grieving and I dont think it will ever stop now, as its been close to the front of their mind for years and years and I cant imagine it going away even though sentencing has been given.

Well, I'm glad justice is finally being served. I do really feel for his mum in particular. Still, justice won't bring him back, will it?
