Can anyone remember anything memorable about Paddy in the house?

Will we get another boring winner with the new vote to save system?

What do you think? Should they bring back vote to evict? or are you happy with vote to save?

Vote to evict doesn't make it any more likely that we'll get an entertaining winner. In fact it's the opposite, hence Aaron won last year.

Vote to save has proved its worth. It may not always work in saving the better housemates (Anton losing to Jem :bored:), but it gives the controversial housemates a much better chance than with vote to evict, where they're almost guaranteed to be evicted.

Not when awful people vote for boring housemates like Jem over world class housemates like Anton. But usually it does, yes

When theres more than 2 people up maybe. But the rest of the time it doesn't make much difference. People will just vote for the person who's up against the person they hate.

Yeah, I agree with this. Neither way will stop it completely but Vote To Save definitely gives a better chance of saving the more entertaining HMs, especially when more than two are up

Vote to save is terrible in regular BB, but works for CBB as it's a much shorter series. In the normal version it is too obvious who will make it to the end with vote to save.

Paddy was never up for eviction so would have won regardless.

Tell that to the bookies, who got it wrong on about 4 or 5 occasions.

The evictions are less predictable (marginally, and only because it stops obvious hate figures leaving when there's several up) but it's easy to tell who'll be at the end if there's no way for them to get evicted. You could tell Aaron/Jay/Alex would all be in the finals by Week 2. The only surprises where which order the ones in the middle of the pack would leave.

I prefer vote to evict, when there are 3 up and you like 2 of them it costs double to keep your favs, is facebook voting on again this year ?

it works better if they make more than 2 housmeates seem likeable.
Or else no one will be bothered

Vote To Save worked on C4 so C5 are clearly doing something wrong with it.

My ideas to get it working properly.

1. Even though it did help Aaron last year I would get rid of FB voting, teenage girls can swing the votes there way aswell, look at the Aden and Heaven result last year.

2. Live Feed will help people to appreciate the entertaining ones more because the way it is at the moment we could be missing out on some awsome Housemates.

3. Do tasks where the 4 that do the worst go up for a Vote To Save.

Whether it's vote to save or vote to evict, someone won't be happy.

vote both ways just to be on the safe side,

Anton was a knob, so it was no real loss

Anton was just playing the game,I see no problem in that.

Voting to evict is far more satisfying imo

It doesn't guarantee an entertaining winner, but it helps the bores get evicted and the entertainers stay. It should always be a minimum of 3 housemates up, though, not 2.

eta: It would be nice if the housemates would use their brain cells once in a while and nominate boring people, not just the ones they don't like. Even with vote to save, the best housemates will normally face eviction.

I agree.

Vote to save didn't help the last bb in anyway.

I like the fact that the entertaining housemates will stay in longer. I think Frankie will stay in longer than he would if it was a vote to evict, I reckon he's got some entertainment in him!

it's weird because i thought it'd be good but my favourites still get evicted so i do prefer the old system as you don't have to vote as much to "save"

but i'm not fussed with it on the celebrity series

I'm all for vote to Save personally, and there was evidence of it working in BB12. If not for vote to save Jay and Aaron would have most likely left before the end, Aden would have made the final and Alex would have been a generic, dimwit winner AGAIN.

The most important thing to make sure VTS works though is to make sure more then two people go up each week. A one on one eviction renders VTS useless (Rebekah vs Heaven, Faye vs Louise)

I think theres a difference as well people may be put off voting to save people they dont like just to evict the other

I doubt that would have happened if it wasnt for BBs stupid twist. More people were voting against the unfairness of it than voting against anton IMO.

If Jem and Harry (?) had been up fairly that week, it would have been Jem that left.

This, if all 4 were the ones with the most nominations, then she'd have easily gone, people voted for them both based on the fact that they were unfairly up and thought it was justice seeing one of Anton/Jay go.
