I remember on here last July (2011) when Channel 5 confirmed that the live coverage from BB had been axed there was massive uproar with people saying "boycott the show" and "unlike and unfollow the fb and twitter sites". However now only like 6 months later to hear such hypocrisy from posters on here and ThisIsBigBrother.com is sickening.

I can't believe that the "fans" of this era are so deluded that they can even say that ANY Channel 5 series is better than any of Channel 4's.

Channel 4 never resorted to cheap gimmicks (name-tags grrr!!! Ch5 this is NOT TOWIE or Scousewives, music in highlights and having Marcus sound like he is on ecstacy all the time) so how can the old fans like me put up with what is being shown right now.

To me this is most definately NOT Big Brother anymore to the extent that Channel 5 shouldn't be allowed to call it BB it should and needs to be renamed ASAP.

I used to LOVE and NEVER missed an episode of Big Brother on Channel 4 and used to book holidays around every series but now all my holidays this year are booked and if I miss the launch and part of a series then I don't care because really I'm not missing much as Channel 5 have knocked every bit of the enjoyment of Big Brother out of me.

they had some effects and marcus was bit OTT in bb11 too
and bb10 was flaming **** anyway
so truly, bb9 was the last old school series.
i still love bb however, i just wish it was like before though

I agree with most of the complaints whilst also being simultaneously sick of the complaining.

Some people just can't bring themselves to ever love it like they used to because the stripped down production was so beautiful about it [right up until BB10. Yes the tasks were still often gimmicky but it was just this thing that came on that had a narrator and people in some oddly futuristic Channel 4 house. That was it.]

I totally identify with that. I still enjoy the current stuff just not in the same way. Now it's just a light entertainment show I throw on when I'm not doing anything else.

How can any BB fan enjoy something that is pretending to be BB? the music is annoying because its not even music being played into the house,its just some **** record that they play while they are doing tasks or whatever and it doesnt suit Big Brother imo,it is not TOWIE so stop trying to make it into one C5?

Meh, I started watching when it was gimmicky. It only annoyed me in CBB8/BB12 cos I joined here and realised the older ones didn't have that. Beforehand I was oblivious to the pre-editing days.

I enjoyed last years BB apart from the Aaron bashing, and Jay s****** in the freezer, and BB covering it up, and that monster Jem, oh and the twat who thought he could rap, blah blah blah. On second thoughts ...........
