david carradine sadly passed away in 2009....he was a legendary tv and movie star...making over 200 tv shows/movies directing approx 5 producing a few writing a few...he was a respected folk singer too and also wrote a vast amount of music...poetry and generally he was the coolest dude around

his most famous role was the legendary kung fu as he strove to find enlightenment as caine  what a show.

he was even in scorseses memorable mean streets movie, a crazy movie with stallone in 1975 called death race 2000 boxcar bertha with deniro , bird on a wire, the long goodbye and in his latter years kill bill 1 and 2 amongst many more

madsen worked with him in those movies. tonight he praised natalie about her maternal instincts, he enquired how she had developed that. she told him sadly she lost her mother when natalie was 19. michael went on to ask her. do you feel her presence. she said she did sometimes at night. he said he often wondered about that. he often felt that way about friends he had lost.
he wondered if it could possible be more than coincidence.

he said in recent times when hed been in situations his mind would go back to his good friend, david carradine and what would he have done in this or that situation. he felt his presence and his wisdom

theres an old expression that those who pass live on in the people they loved and that loved them. I believe that is true regardless of what religion or non religion you follow. It is comforting

I thought this was the most profound moment in the house this series. This is why I get so upset when petty nonsense gets in the way of people truly connecting and interacting on a wholly deeper level. natalie didnt mention it to anyone else, but Im certain he will remember it. he carries all his experiences deep inside him

david carradine lived the life of 10 men, he lived on the wild side and came through it, a wiser, learned peaceful man. he married his 5th and final wife at michael madsens home.he served in the military , voted democrat. wrote an epic book called spirit of the shaolin on kung fu philosophy, he best mates were ; bruce lee, tarantino, chuck norris and madsen:blush:epic

If madsen is taking advice from the great one, no wonder hes doing so well:xyxwave:

Funny you should talk about David Carradine,I was reading about him the other week, where a lot of people believe he was murdered.
Some were saying he was an undercover agent for the USA.

He was also found hanging wearing a womans wig and stockings in a Bangkok hotel :/

Dont read this article if you are easily offended as there is a picture of him hanging.

They reckoned he was dressed like that by his murderer. To cover up the fact he was actually murdered.

I hadn't realised he was in Mean Streets. A classic movie.

Great post.

I found that section of the show really interesting, deep and quite revealing about MM. Shame he has no one in the house he can connect to on that level.

What I thought was the most touching part of that conversation was when Natalie asked "What do you hope it would be, (ie: just inner thoughts, or David actually being there in spirit) - when Michael replied he hoped it was David - such a sincere and deep hope within him that it be that.

I agree - poignant moment.

seriously! this has been a very respectful thread, plenty other threads to vent your spleen, why spoil this one, and yes I know this is a forum and yes I know you have a right to post, but on EVERY Michael thread, its obssessing in the extreme, he owes half the USA money... really, time for a reality check.
