I think so, CH5 would be mad to ditch their ratings grabber. And I love the new BB now, this series has been fantastic.

Will most likely be decided after BB13

I dont see why they would axe it already, nobody even watched Channel 5 before BB started

Didn't they say recently Big Brother has really done wonders for their revenue?

I can't see them axing it after BB13 unless it's constantly getting under 1m viewers.

Yes they did, before CBB9 started

Big Brother itself will be axed, but Celebrity Big Brother will continue for a couple more years, probably at a rate of two series per year.

I thought that they had the show until 2013? So, is this summer's series the only guaranteed one left?

If so, I think they should just stick to CBB in January. Big Brother died a slow death on channel 4 and should be left alone. CBB is the only one (with such a short run) to still have life left in it.

Nope. It will be decided or talks will at least begin during BB13 - that's what happened in 2009.
Would be rather unfortunate if half way through BB13 they announce it's the final series, god it would be a punch in the balls.

If they do recommission it, and I'm pretty sure they will because NO other show on their channel gets anywhere near what BB gets in ratings, then I think they'll go for a 5 Year contract tbh.

No thanks, they can ****** off.

Just kill it in 2010, base the whole final series around a fat whale from Bristol, make a mockery of it and then change their minds and want it back as soon as it does well on another channel? No.

:bored: No, just no.
I'd rather them axe the whole thing all together than just keep the silly Celebrity version.

It's pathetic having a spin off show without the main Daddy. They could even just shorten Big Brother abit - won't be ideal for hardcore fans like myself but I suppose if it keeps the typical bellend who prefers CBB because it's short watching, then we'll have to deal with it.

No way will the longer version survive without a proper live stream (not just a token effort).

There's no chance 5 will axe Big Brother, it's easily one of their most successful shows ever. They'd be beyond insane to do so. :)

Sincerely hope not. Regular series is always better. (though CBB9 has been way better than BB12)

If Big Brother had never been on Channel 4 and it was a new show which only started last year therefor the press couldnt compare the ratings to the glory years then BB would be seen as a huge success.

I definitely expect to see CBB back next year.

Who knows if they ditch the 'normal' BB they might do a CBB in the summer as a replacement.

If Big Brother had just started on channel 5 it wouldn't be getting the ratings it does. The only reason the ratings are a success for channel 5 is because it's got the core fanbase from channel 4.

Other than BB, which I've followed from another channel I don't care for any shows on channel 5 and would be turned away just by the very fact they're on 5.

I won't be watching because the world ends on 21/12/2012.
