After tonights show should someone feel the need to report the alleged incident to the police , could he face criminal proceedings?

It happened with John Terry over his alleged comments to anton Ferdinand,.

I am not saying she should by the way, I'm just asking!

I dont think this is a harsh enough sentence...:joker: after the pain and suffering she has inflicted on the GBP over the years with her poor acting and now this... throw away the key!

If you want OTT reactions look no further than Denise. If she's going to dish it out, she has to learn to take the consequences.

I'm not saying for 1 second that she should be arrested at all. I was only asking as what she did was (if a bloke did it to a woman) then there would be uproar and it is also pretty damn near assault even if done as a "laugh"

Ahhh..... you are referring to Denise pulling the joggers down.

Yep, it's pretty close to assault: it's certainly indecently exposing someone against their wishes.

Look at the uproar on here when one of the Jedward twins did it to .... (damn, can't recall her name? Was it Amy?) - plenty of folk were up in arms about it on here - but because it's Denise doing it with another female, it's meant to be acceptable?

Not a chance.

No not at all.

I see both those situations as equal. There was plenty of people having a pop at Jedward for it on here but i think Denise has actually been vilanised more for doing the same thing, so none of that 'because shes a woman she gets away with it business.

The reason men supposedly get it harsher for doing the same thing is because it could be percieved in a sexual way, like they are getting off on it. Unless Denise is a lesbian its not really the same thing is it?

Anyway this thread is SOOOOOOO over the top lol.

Oh I don't know Chuff. Look at the amount of abuse and threats Jay got away with.

At least we know BB aren't sexist !! :D

There is of course nil chance of Denise having charges pressed - she was still very much in the wrong though.

23-01-2012, 05:44 PM
Tell you what, chuff - I think there is EVERY chance that the twins' response (carry on dancing, have a think about it then kick off) was a considered response rather than a knee-jerk reaction. I still don't think it gives Denise the right to do it. She does herself no favours.

Imagine for 1 second that your sister/ daughter gets her trousers pulled down by an older woman, would you be happy? I would be furious . I do not think that Denise should be arrested or even spoke to by anyone. My original point was that if someone finds that scene tonight somewhat distressing and decides to speak to the police, would the police interview Denise? The twins will not press charges but my question remains the same will Denise be arrested/questioned by the police when he leaves for what some people could class as sexual assault

IF she had done it in bad intent it would have been totally different, but she didnt, she did it in a joke, it was Nicola and the twins who blew it way out of contention, for camera time and attention seeking ,believe me I would never defend Denise if I thought she was in the wrong, but in this case it was just a joke, maybe went a tad too far as neither of the twins have a personality to have a joke with, both mardy little sods

sexual assault is ok if the perpetrator claims it was 'just a joke'?

if ANY of the men had done anything even vaguely similar you'd be the first to DEMAND action

Yes anyone can complain to the police about the incident if they belive a crime was committed.

The police would view the same video and decide if it was in the public interest to prosecute and the likelihood of a successful prosecution.

The twin herself could make a complaint, and again the police would carry out an investigation.

In either event the police would decide whether to arrest Denise or simply interview her if they thought it was necessary. Simply because its drunken horseplay doesn mean the victims rights arent going to be protected.

So in answer to your original question, yes she could be arrested, though for such a minor offence the police would probably be discrete and leave an arrests or interviews until after the usual media feeding frenzy.

Though they do like to get in before the alleged offender gets a chance to seek legal advice if possible.

I'm sorry...but this has got to be one of the most laughable posts of yours I've ever read.

Not really because of what you've written, but purely because of the fact that just a couple of months ago you were defending the actions of that 'big man' involved in the train incident, who clearly 'pretty closely' assaulted the young lad, yet you argued otherwise, but you are saying here that pulling someone's trousers a quarter of the way down their legs is assault? So you are suggesting that Denise's actions were worse than the 'big man' on that train?

I've seen some things on this forum but that, that is something else... :joker:

I always thought of you as a free spirit.....but you sound like a real prude and killjoy.
Its not like Denise is drunk 24/7....but when its party time she obviously enjoys a few and lets her hair down...the young lads were not offended she wasnt snogging anyone or flirting she was just letting her hair down. Now I personally would not do it but my mates would and I wouldnt label them as anything other than people who just had a harmless urge to go topless....so what!!!

24-01-2012, 12:19 AM
Whatever could she be arrested for, it would simply be put down to an incident that occurred in party atmosphere which was fuelled by drink and had no harmful consequences or intent.

The twins sometimes walk round with hardly anything on anyway,it was an action by Denise that was harmless in intent but not acceptable to the person, so, the only right thing to do was apologise and not do it again once that was known which she did.

No assault, a simple party incident,no more no less. Of course the Twin could bring a private action on it but at great cost and they would likely lose, the police would more likely laugh at this than want to be involved in any way.
