I think that's pretty reactionary. Lots of americans have been in CBB over the years and they haven't been any more or less likely to be fighting than the british housemates. Jermaine Jackson never really argued with people, nor did Dirk Benedict from A-Team. Sisqo generally got on with people. Verne Troyer was a brilliant housemate. It's not a nationality thing. People are more than just the geographic landmass they come from. There's been good american housemates and bad ones just as there's been good and bad british housemates. Will Pete Burns honestly say that Jade Goody was a better housemate than Verne Troyer?

Pete Burns is a monster to look at and a moron to listen to. Does anyone treat him as anything else other than the reactionary freak show that he is?

You know, his comment made me furious because I really respected his opinon on BB all these years and he's always made really intelligent comments and then drops this one!

A week or two ago he was singing praises for the twins, about how they are amazing and how he wants them to win. Suddenly they are unpopular with the public and the whole anti american sentiment comes up and he then starts saying they should all go home!

Really pissed me off.

No, he just changed his opinion of them after tonights show.

I voted for them to win last night as i loved them. However tonights episode showed how calculating and spoiled they are and they behaved like brats.

This is the reason the public have gone off them and also the reason im thinking that Pete has. Pete doesnt need to please the public, Hes just honest.

I will now be voting for Frankie

How?

The only person to EVER ruin a Celebrity Big Brother, and normal Big Brother was Jade Goody - it's still her fault that Big Brother got axed in the first place.

And she's British, so whatever.
The Americans provided entertainment, but if you can prove otherwise then I'd be happy to see?

The twins, I believe, were the first american housemates to say they will sue. I don't think it's fair to blame americans for the actions of one housemate.

Not being biased, but some of the best CBB have been American.

Actually I feel the mixing of brits and americans in CBB is what makes the show. It makes it interesting that they don't nessarily 'get' each other which is good TV. Sometimes an all british house (like some normal BB's) is downright dull unless it becomes a mixing of classes.

All the american housemates have pretty much been epic.

Oh yeah lol but he doesnt qualify as a housemate in my eyes. It was so contrived and he was there for like 72 hours or something.

I found some of the things Pete said very offensive.

"Americans don't have a sense of humor...Americans shouldn't be allowed on this show"

Like what are you even talking about?

Truth Teller

Pete Burn's sweeping generalisations and xenophobia were out of order. The show is called Celebrity BB it therefore means any "celebrity" can be asked to be on it.

And Americans do have a sense of humour. MM is funny and droll and enjoys a laugh but according to PB all Americans are humourless. So many great comic shows come from the States.

He used the c word to describe the twins too and as per usual made one or two good points (the twins a great to watch/Denise's drinking) but ruins everything with his other comments.

He gets viler and viler.

I disagree with that comment, americans in most cases are what have made the show a hit, look at the twins, they divide opinion like no other, isn't that what the show wants?

I really can't help being offended by that comment even if it's said jokingly. If he had said ban pakistanis or ban Indians I wonder how well that would have flown. I sincerely hope all Americans boycott going on there ever again because clearly the show would be a dying corpse of boredom by now if it wasn't for the Americans.

I don't agree with him on that but there is sometimes a problem with the humour aspect of the show.
