I watched the whole thing about 3 times, I am marveling at how Denise managed to apparently come out of this smelling of roses..........
She reminds me so much of my Alcoholic mum......
Alcoholics are very good at switching the focus away from their own misdemeanor onto something else.:bawling:
Denise has this art off to a tee..
The key things she did were.
1. Bring Nicola into the argument by talking about getting them out for a living and then citing her shredding the letters.:conf:
2. Brought Nicola into the argument regarding the Bumble Bee task.:conf:
3. Tried to drive a wedge between Nicola and the twins wrt old comments that she had made about the twins being pigs... :conf:
None of which had anything to do with the price of fish...
Brilliant Denise what a performance deserves a Bafta..
Well she was in a defensive state so of course she's going to bring up past stuff which has no meaning, thats just what people do in arguments. She only really had Frankie on her side so she must have had all guards up because lets face it, the twins are scary, throw in Nicola and its terrifying

She always is.
It's always someone elses fault.
It's always someone else to blame.
........In Denise's small mind....................... silly old mare that she is.

she is deffo a wily old bird funny you mentioning her deflecting behaviour i thought the same thing and i have watched it many times too, i cannot understand how she slithers out of every confrontation.. i am in awe of the way she can dress up senarios to make the injured party accept they are the ones who are at fault for not 'getting her' or that in her world and circle of friends her conduct would not be called into question. It took big brother coaching her in the diary room to see that it is not acceptable behaviour! At her age thats pretty sad.

My mum was an alcoholic and take it from me...
Denise is a classic alcoholic........laughing one minute crying the next.
She craves attention, and if she does not get it will create a drama to get it....
If it was not the incident with the twins the other night, she would have created a drama over something else.....
The lady needs help, not people on BOTS cheering her on....:(:(

oh well as long as she "owned" them I guess that's okay then, no need for her to seek any kind of professional help...owning is the key...God help us all!

That did annoy me.
It could have been a good drinking game for everytime they mentioned Denise and Frankie's ages. But then again, these are girls who think 30 is "old".
And to the OP, I don't think anyone came out of that looking good or smelling of roses. They all came out smelling of booze, embarrassed themselves and acted like pathetic children. The lot of them.

I don't think she came out smelling of roses at all. What she did was wrong but only because she forgot herself "in drink of course" and behaved as she would have among her friends. She forgot that these people aren't her friends they're her competitors.
It was the reaction, the fact she apologized when asked and yet STILL got grief, that made it obvious that it was tactics that were being fired at her, rather than real upset.
She was being real. whereas Karissa was gameplaying big time.

Got to hand it to the old soak, she sets up her victims then stands back and lets them take the flack. She has it down to a fine art, and I'm not really surprised at the amount of people who fall for it. She's had years of experience after all:idc:

But, would there have been any drama at all had Karissa accepted the apology and moved on. Or sat with Denise and discussed it? No. Kristina got involved and their conversation got heated and then Nicola and Frankie somehow came into it.
It's all just a case of a group of drunkards not thinking about what they're saying and regretting it in the morning. Well, except the twins who take themselves way too seriously.

My post from a different thread:
Right, I'm going to point two things out because it seems nobody is mentioning them and they seem quite important to me:
After Denise pulled Karissa's pants down, Karissa went into the kitchen, Denise went over, started kissing her, Karissa said she was pissed about it but Denise kind of brushed off how Karissa felt about it and kept saying "you'll forgive me".
When Nicola was trying to take Kristina outside to calm her down etc, Denise and then Frankie carried on talking, which led to them coming back in and Nicola getting involved.
Basically Denise doesn't realise when to stop, she just carries on and carries on, she did it with Michael and she did it with Nicola and the Twins. If she had stopped when Karissa was in the kitchen, or even when Nicola was taking Kristina outside then it would have been fine but of course, she didn't...so it wasn't.

Your two "important points" I have already addressed in another thread.
I've just discussed it at length so I'm not going to go over it again.
Here's the link if you wish to look, but other than that I'm not dragging it on again. I'm quite bored and over the whole farce now.

I take it you ARE watching the show....it's a repeat pattern by Denise as we have all viewed and witnessed. We also are hearing the housemates saying the same thing in respect of knowing what will happen when she next gets sloshed.
I'll requote what Monkeyslut just did - because it is pertinent and Monkeyslut summed it very nicely: in Denise's world, everything is about her - no one her - her. Even when Gavin told her to shut up in the bedroom, still she continued to rant and make herself out to be the victim.

Was Karissa (or her sister) OTT in their ongoing reaction - to a degree yes, however she was offended, embarrassed and very unhappy about what Denise did - she shouldn't be expected just to brush it off lightly if she didn't feel that way. Denise however still felt at that point, that she didn't do anything wrong. It wasn't until BB had a word with her that she actually admitted to people that she WAS the instigator, that she should not have done it, that she should NOT have assumed it would have been taken as a joke.
To use Denise's own words: she doesn't know Karissa well enough to act like that with her.
