Would you be proud if her or ashamed?
I would be extremely ashamed of her, the way she drinks and flaunts her breasticles in peoples faces and the way she behaves in general.
I can say that she is a fairly good at her job, actress, presenting , tv personality etc but my god woman you have a 10 year old son who will get non stop grief because of her antics and also the poor boy will already be given a hard time because of his short assed father playing a cross dresser. ( people won't remember his older roles) and now his mum is coming across as an alcoholic exhabitionist.
And chuff this is a massive anti Denise thread so answer this post as you wish as my opinion on her will not change .
Sadly I think Denise will win
I wouldnt be ashamed, just a bit embarrassed.

I would be ashamed of her behaviour, dont think many people would be happy with their mother getting her boobs out or tried stripping people when she was drunk.

I'd be a bit disappointed she'd get in that situation.
But she'd be my mother and I'd love her no matter what.
Somewhat embarrassed and would hate to see how she goes on at times.

I'd be changing my name by deed poll, moving home and not leaving a forwarding address....:joker: she is so far removed from my dear Mum that I cant even fathom how I would feel watching her implode on the screen, I would probably be very sad..and perhaps fake my death so the producers would get her out...

I should imagine as they have know the lifestyle their parents have as actors since birth it would not be as big a shock as to some others.
As has been said, it is about how much love there is.
I would love her as my mammy.

I find it hard to keep the concept of Denise being my mother in my head. My mother is a lady; she's worldly, clever, funny, happy, contented, encouraging, supportive, has loads of interests, is successful in her career... and I have never seen her drunkenly acting the arse - ever.

If she were my mother, I would be used to her and love and support her all the same.
Probably the worst my kids have ever seen me was when I came in from a huge night out and climbed into my daughter's wardrobe. She said "What do you think you're doing, mum?" Apparently I replied "Finding Narnia", shut the door, and went to sleep. Never did anything similar again.
Although, whilst sober, I have been very tempted to find Platform 9 3/4.

I'd like to say, at least Denise's kids have a father who doesn't make a tit of himself on TV.........I'd like to say that

If she was my mother I would be very upset that someone would start a thread like this and call her ugly knowing that as her child I might read this.
She is clearly a kind and supportive person whilst sober and sadly, somehow loses herself when she has had a few drinks. However, no-one could label her manipulative nor calculating nor totally engrossed by her own beauty - unlike two of the celebrities (neither of whom I had heard of prior to this show). As her child I would be proud of her talent and her good nature - evident in all she takes part in on T.V. She is an intelligent woman who sets a lot of store in people liking her - and there is nothing wrong with that - in fact it is commendable. She has done some very articulate and intelligent work in her past - unlike 2 of the members of this show. She has actually been a very 'good egg' , given of her best and tried hard to include everyone around her in this show. She has endeavoured to be concerned about every single one of the participants and has evidently made a great effort to get to know everyone.
If i was her child I would hope that most people would excuse her slips when she gets 'tiddly'. She has never been outrageously obnoxious when she has had a drink - she just gets a little over-emotional at times. So as her child I would certainly hope that people would forgive her and not be too judgemental. She is not public enemy number one - she is just (in my opinion) trying hard to understand the dynamics of the situation which at times seem to confound her.
As her child I would forgive her and love her anyway. As a viewer I would hope that people would see things as they truly are - This is not reality - despite it being labelled a reality show. She has tried really hard and sometimes she has acquitted herself well - other times she could have done better no doubt. I would rather have her as a parent than the 2 vacuous, self-centered, self absorbed and catty participants who have become her nemesis. She is not 2 faced and she is true to herself. The woman has struggled in this show and yet nevertheless is the first to apologise and try to make things better afterwards. There's a good chance that she makes a very good mother and should not be judged too harshly - she's doing her best...

Flashing, drinking and swearing - yes I agree. However, there are many positive and kind things that far outweigh these 3 things. For instance, she tried hard to join in when the girls were singing on the sofa - it was clear that no malice was intended when she pulled the back of K's trousers down etc. All she was doing was trying to join in - sadly it backfired on her and K decided to make a big deal of it...Don't get me wrong, I am not saying drunken behaviour is to be admired - however, they were drinking too and probably over reacted as a result. I think that if one was in the intense situation of that house - with all the different and difficult personalities there would be a chance that at times one might fall from grace. She has done much more nice things whilst she has been in there than not so nice. So on balance the good far outweighs the bad. Even Frankie could see that and consequently stuck up for her. She is very natural and kind and I like that - and would prefer to concentrate on that rather than the few slip-ups she has made under pressure. Yes you are right - at times she has been a little embarrassing - but thats part of the gig. All of them will look at parts of this and be embarrassed - how could they not? They are all set up every day to be embarrassed - who could not have cringed when watching the Japanese Chat Show - thats what BB does and that's why people watch it in the first place. I just think it's a little harsh to be so unkind about Denise that's all...

Frankie would shag anything that moves so he's not the best judge. He's still peed of at the twins for rejecting him and laughing at him, so his defence of Denise was nothing to do with him being noble but everything to do with having digs at them.
And so what if the Twins get their bits out - that is THEIR choice. What is so difficult to understand? Denise has no right to make the decision to undress them. Can't stand drunks who hide behind alcohol to excuse their unacceptable behaviour. It's not as if Denise doesn't know she's a loudmouthed, vulgar, offensive embarrassment when she's drunk, so why does she do it? She's not funny, she's not entertaining and those who say she is are laughing AT her, not WITH her, which is pretty cruel IMO.

If Denise was my Mother, I would respect her as my Mother, she isn't thank goodness but I am sure her family are well used to her being outrageous and still love her as much as most families love their Mothers too.
Personally.I would prefer her to tone things down a bit and not drink so much but she was good in Coronation St and Waterloo Road too so she is a pretty good actress and the showbusiness world has many people who act the same or far worse than Denise does anyway. Her home life/skills are probably miles away from the public image.

Your mum sounds amazing.
My mum was very much the same. God rest her soul.
Although she did get smashed at my dad's 40th and make a bit of an arse of herself, she never repeated that behaviour.
My mum who is late 60's has a habit of pissing in the garden and hedge surfing..I love her.

It's unfair to talk about her family or how they do or should feel about her. I judge Denise for Denise, and i don't want to see her family being judged.
Let's keep this forum civilized and leave Denises' family out of it.
I think it is cruel to speculate how we would feel as her children. Let's leave her children out of it.
