Its not what he say's, its the fact he looks like a woodentop reading from an autocue, where's the personality ? He acts as if he's more afraid than the HM's

Yes but not in a good way. When Alan Carr does camp it's funny because he has personality and charm, when Brian does it is just cringe because he has dead eyes, humourless smile and is like a camp robot reading an autocue

I have no problem with campness and think Alan Carr's brilliant. It's the way Brian delivers it. Like a child who has been forced to act in a school play.

So you thought he was personality-less in BB2? really? All I remember is crying with laughter at him through that series, usually doesn't happen when a person doesn't have a personality. Also he was crowned Ultimate HM against some stiff competition so the voting public must have liked him alot, don't you think?

I don't remember BB2 much as I was to young at the time and I haven't got around to watching it yet.

But I found him funny on UBB,maybe because I prefered him to 2nd and 3rd place.:joker:

Well said. I cringe when Brian does the camp thing, also when he says "just saying", it's annoying. Although I don't dislike Brian, he's not really right for the job.

I've just realised, I don't think I watched ultimate big brother until the end.. no idea why I stopped though :conf:

No chance they lose him for the summer series, as much as a lot wish for change. The show has only been gaining viewers, not losing them, the format will probably stay relatively the way we've seen for the past 3 BB's(2 CBBs and 1 normal.) In the meantime, who could be the replacement besides the obvious Emma W.? How bout Andrew Stone? :joker: Or could Jamie East handle it? He has the audacity and the confidence. Or *or!* what about a co-hosting of both Emma and Jamie? OK, that might be a bit odd. But it's something, it may even be TV gold. Leave Alice to tend BOTS until she's slightly more grizzled and ripe for the main show.

I absolutely agree. Brian's level of camp lacks that certain quirky charm that makes it humorous. Instead Brain comes across very rigid, forced, fake and actually quite annoying (and I loved him in BB) which makes me cringe when watching an interview. He is not the right person for the job at all.

I don't remember Brian being very camp in the past, even in prvious series. I think the producers have asked him to camp it up (god knows why!) and its reflected in what they tell him to say on the autocue.

I do like Brian, I think he's really professional. They just need to tone down the campness slightly to what it was in the first Ch5 BB.

He was a fantastic HM in BB2, he was so funny and full of energy, he definitely has a personality! You should try and re watch BB2 it was really good.
