With everybody expecting to release a Motown cover or a soul classic he's set to release an indie classic. He's taking one hell of a chance.

I'm interested to see if he can do it good,but he should be careful that he doesn't go down the road of other X Factor contestants and just release covers.

I want some original material.

They're indie hipsters... they aren't going to like some guy from the X Factor singing a song like that. Personally I love White Stripes and Marcus, so I'm interested to listen in the morning.

I agree,tbh I think he will do it quite good and he will probably change these people's minds as the only way is up.

I really don't see why people thought it was that bad. I didn't like it, but it wasn't as awful as people were making out

I think it's because the song is so popular that his version had to be special to just even be half liked by people,that's just my opinion anyway.

that's still a top 10 more than the winners or anyone else(Don't count the winners single) and this was probably something far away from the sound he wants to make. They were all **** this season, but he seems a cool guy so good luck I guess.

I agree that it wasn't the best of years but I like to give every X Factor singer a fresh start when they start making Music.

No offence Black Dagger but he could have done better in the charts.

I think #9 is stunning, I'd have been worried for him if it didn't chart in the top 30 with it being his debut single

Hopefully the album sells just as well.

I think Marcus has the talent to do really well in the future. Good luck to him.
I thought he was consistent on X Factor and may end up one of the better acts to come from it.
