how does bb choose the celebrities to go on cbb? do celebs put their names forward or do the people @ bb just think about who they might want and approach them?

Denise mentioned that she had been asked a couple of times before to go on the show. I think the producers normally approach the celebs.
Jonathan Ross had shown interest (if his wife will let him) and he was offered a place for next year when on the phone to BBOTs last night, so maybe it works both ways.

I suspect agents 'let it be known' that their clients might be available, then producers pick the best of what's on offer

I think its both because Frankie asked to go on and like smudgie said, Denise was asked a few times. Lauren Harries was also asked a few years ago.

Id love to have the job of choosing the celebs :D Joan Rivers & New York would go straight in.

Preconceptions: Gullible people (many of whom do not even watch or have viewed the evidence for themselves) easily led by faces that they feel they know and can trust.
e.g Natalie Cassidy going around every show she could get on saying how vile the twins were. When in reality the GBP public rejected her for her own arrogance and presumption that she would win......

That's nice love, but what's got to do with anything?

I think they just go for realistic targets but if someone's interested they can approach them as well, Rossy said on BOTS that he's never actually been asked, probably because he's considered too big a name
