Tbf people are expecting De Gea to play well when the fans was on his back since day 1,and when he did finally start to play well Ferguson dropped him for Lindegaard.
I also remember Joe Hart being worse than De Gea when he first started out,I think De Gea will be a great GK.

Feel sorry for him personally. He'll turn out brilliant in the end. Great prospect. Wrong time to move

Brilliant that the ball bounced off his head for the first goal

No doubt in a few years when he comes good, you and the other morons will be licking his bum hole.
Was pretty bad. But at least now you can focus on stopping City from winning the league.. please
Locke.

De Gea should never of played today.
I think he could come good in 3 years but not now.

Why did we pay £12.24 million for a certain, lanky and skinny, Portuguese lad and chucked him in at the deep end pretty much?
A lot called Ronaldo, but when he fired United to three titles and a Champions League they couldn't get enough of him.
Players need time.

I still have faith in DDG long term wise because it is a rocky first year for him in England and he will have to improve a lot, but he has had lots of wobbly moments and even when he does a good save most people cannot wait to criticise him.
Football fans are so fickle, one minute we love a player and hate them the next and the same goes for a Manager...

Yes. The likes of Cech and Reina struggled with just how hard the PL is when they first joined.
De Gea has shown glimpses of his talent but there is still more hard work for him to prove people wrong and he's only 20, although there is too much impatience nowadays...

It's kind of the same with Savic at City at the moment, media are giving him a hammering yet he's only young and doesn't speak the language yet

and Reina > everyone for me. Aguero's goal was a one off
Very unlucky to have Casillas above him

Yeah, i've been fighting Savic's corner on Twitter and I shouldn't really be considering who he plays for but it's hard with a new league and style of play, atmosphere, language, culture and of course communication issues, plus integrating with all colleagues/staff at a football club to get used to

Do you rate Valdes? He's good but I don't think he is near the best GK in the world just because he plays for Barcelona...

Valdes is underrated, probably not as good as Casillas but would suit Spains passing out from the back game, better on the ball than Casillas
Would still have him in my top 5 though

I really like Hugo Lloris who plays for Lyon and of course Buffon is still top of his outstanding game.

Sebastien Frey is another talented Goalkeeper too.

yea United should of paid over the odds for Lloris, wouldn't of cost THAT much more than De Gea...maybe another 10..
You heard about Ron Robert Zieler? Ex- United reserves keeper who got capped for Germany recently and is doing really really well

We did try to sign him but he was happy at Lyon and intended to stay there.
Stecklenburg is not doing bad for AS Roma either!
RRZ did have potential but a shame he never fulfilled it at United, glad he has been given the chance to show it elsewhere:).
