Which do you prefer going to? I prefer clubs because I think it is more fun and pubs just bore me after a while:blush:.

I prefer Pubs, even when I was younger I did. I don't like dancing and you usually can get a seat and can actually hear people talking in Pubs

Neither.
Pubs = good drink, warm fire, talking to old people, footie on the telly.
Clubs = Bad drink, expensive, awful bouncers, worse people, no talking.
So yeah, pubs. The only times I could manage clubs was when I was mashed on speed on e. I can go to the pub and not even drink. It's class.

Both.
I don't like going to a pub knowing that is where I'll be spending the rest of the night, feels like a waste. And clubbing isn't as half as fun without going to a pub or bar beforehand.

Pubs
Nothing worse than a hot sweaty club full of drunk people dancing
Pubs >>>
Clubbing's overrated really, only enjoy it if I'm really drunk and even then not for any long period of time, 2/3 hours is normally fine. Love just going to the Pub though with a few mates, having a few relaxing drinks and being able to actually have a conversation

Clubs is easier to pull so that.
If I just wanna relax and socialise with a couple friends then pub it is though.

Pubs, but a lot of the pubs I go to have dancefloors and/ or live Bands anyway. I'm a bit old for clubs now so will only go to them once in a while if it's a big night out and all the pubs have shut

I like both, but go to clubs more often since that's where my friends want to go most of the time
Clubs for a good night out to dance and get drunk quickly.
Pubs for a nice social night, quiz and catch up.

someone on tibb should buy a pub and we could all just stay there

Not really a fan of either. Rather go to someone's house.

Pubs. Variety of people who you can actually talk to, it doesn't cost money to get in, and although the drinks are usually more expensive it's just a much nicer environment.

Drinks are more expensive in Pubs? total opposite here

Not necessarily, but I only ever go to clubs with really good promotions (like £1 a pint) so it ends up being more expensive

Typical student :idc:
Clubs are alright in the week cos they always have drink offers on, saturday nights are normally a rip-off though, but Pubs are pretty expensive as well, can't really get a pint for under £3
Yeah pubs here are far cheaper. Mind you I only like good old fashioned pubs. Dark holes off busy streets where men much older than myself sink a few fine ales and comment on the news. I can't stand sleek superpubs or any place that specificaly caters for the student demographic.
Yeah mate got a spare skin? Notice I'm bopping my head to let all the tossers around me know how much I love the Editors.
**** off.
God I'm so lonely.

I have a wild side so at times I enjoy clubs but most of the time if I am out with a few friends I like a pub best and the quieter the better for me.

Wetherspoons seem to have a bad reputation and I'm not really sure why. I mean there's the whole globalisation angle but they're pretty decent IMO

I prefer pubs, but every single time we got to a pub we always end up going to town afterwards anyway. The idea of it just can't escape you once you've had a few pints.
Yeah I like Wetherspoons, lots of choice, good drink offers, even the food is pretty decent there and they're always open late as well, always go to one before heading to a club

Good staff in Wetherspoons aswell, hardly ever make me pull my awful child passport out by IDing me

Clubs when I was younger, now I prefer pubs. By pubs I mean actual pubs like waterside/countryside and traditional pubs, not places like Spoons or Walkabout.

Hahaha, I love asking for ID. If somebody is being a douchebag I always ask for theirs and then revel in the glory if they haven't got any.

I prefer clubs. I feel it is easier to get away from people in clubs and there is less awkward moments.
I generally don't like being introduced to new people formally and I find just going up and saying hi to someone in a club is just easier as it is louder.

Yeah Wethers is decent, sometimes go there for a few drinks before going clubbing:).

I absolutely hate 'Spoons. Maybe because I worked for them for a brief stint, but they are usually full of absolutely annoying twats, drunken students and those who like to get so **** faced before a club they usually end up not being able to handle their drink who then become a general muppet of society that will either get kicked out or throw up all over themselves.

Pubs. I used to be a designated photographer for promoters at various clubs here in Chicago. The crowds really turned me off to clubs and the music is very hit or miss. Clubs for me are the kind of place I go for when there's a certain night that certain music is being played and I have a good chunk of friends going, or a hot date. Beyond that, I want to go to a pub and laugh about **** with friends.
Also drinks at clubs are pretty damn expensive. Thankfully many of the bartenders here in Chicago are gay and I'd get top shelf liqueur for much cheaper because they thought I was cute. Also because I was a photographer and would tip well.

So true, plus the ones here don't have any music and the food is ropey

Pubs.
Lloyds Bar in town has it all, great food, spacious areas, dj most nights, sport on the big screen, and a small dance floor if the mood takes you. Drinks aren't cheap, but they have good promotions.

Lloyds is awful here, worse than spoons. People start drinking at like 10am and there's always fights D:

Lloyds is decent here but they have the worst bouncers in town by far, absolute *****
