Anyone else use these? I know we were discussing in Towers the other week, but just curious. If so, what scents do you use?

I'm not a fan of Yankee Candles. I had to repaint my ceiling afterwards because they left horrible black, sooty marks. I prefer Lampe Berger where you heat the stone and the oil sucks all the nasties out of the air while smelling gorgeous - which sounds weird if you don't know what I'm talking about.

I like my room to be ambient and relaxing, especially when I'm doing my writing. I like my work space and bedroom to be clean, smelling nice and calming.

I'm paranoid about scented candles and insense, i think they cause cancer.
(yes i'm a smoker so i know that's hypocritical, but i'm just saying...)

Hush down Ginger. You're a student; your room probably smells of stale beer and pizza, plus you cannot afford scented candles. :hmph:

No they are not. The one's I have are masculine scents. I class my house as a bachelor pad and a place with things I like and I happen to like my house smelling nice. I find air fresheners nauseating, especially the rancid plug-in ones.

A tranquil blend of bergamot pepper, dray sage and a touch of cedar. It smells really nice. Honestly, everyone who comes over to my house loves that one.

Ha old thread bump.
I've just got a yankee candle electrical tart warmer. Used to use oil burners with tea lights but stopped when I had my cat. So these are perfect.
Ah good ol Yankee Candles
I usually get a couple of gift bags from there for my xmas with candles, tealights and drawer sachets, hope I get one this year because I'm running low

I would say that's the best deal I have seen yet tbh, on ebay they sell for £1.16 each and in some shops where I live they get them in every now and then for £1.
So yeah that sounds a good deal to me.
If you have bought 24 and had 5 though they should last a fair bit the burn time is about 8 hours.
Special offer here is 10 for the price of 8

Yea the burn times are a bit strange. I only bought one cos a woman at work had one in her office, i'd never seen an electrical one. She had the same tart in the burning for a week. The morning I had it delivered I put one in and it was gone the next day, after about 5 hours of burn time.

You get what you pay for with things like this (IMO). Its like comparing Paco Rabanne with Brut.
Yankee Candles are epic! In southport someone opened a shop dedicated to them and I bought a snow in love fragranced one! :amazed:

We don't buy candles because we have carpets and my mum would forever be paranoid they'll fall over and cause a fire (I would be too)

Apart from wax spill if they fell over, Yankee Candles are pretty much fireproof, the flame would be put out by the wax if it fell over

With electric tart warmers, like the one i've got, there is no flame. You just plug it into the wall.
