My god, those were the days! Playing on my N64 (and my aunts Saturn), and having mates over was the best. We didnt need online to enjoy games (obviously because online gaming never really came about till the Dreamcast). Its just mad thinking back.

The last games I played were
Final Fantasy XIII-2
Metal Gear Solid HD Collection
Sonic Generations
Half Life 2
Resident Evil 5
None of them needed online
Silent Hill Downpour is another offline game I am looking forward to :3
I generally stay away from online games, they're fun, but nothing beats a good story.

Agree 100%
Hate these little COD Fan Boys who think the only way to play a game now is online with a dozens of wankers shouting down a mic at you.

I very rarely play online at all anymore
I've never had Xbox Live or ever played it and it doesn't really bother me that much, prefer single players you can actually get immersed in

Online is amazing when you live where I do and live miles from your friends.

Online games can be hilarious.
GTAIV online is amazing: the free play is the best thing ever, I go on there with my friend loads and we just piss around and blow **** up. Its so funny.

Games like GTA and Red Dead online are fun because it's quite varied in comparison to Battlefield and CoD.

I think that introducing online modes to the Gaming Industry has killed it because more attention is going on to the online mode instead of the main mode.
Also I find it really annoying when critics criticise a game if it doesn't have an online mode,it's a Video Game not the Internet.

i loathe GTA and all killing games ...I have a theory it 'swiches off' something in kids minds like a jimminy cricket exterminator...just my view, i loved mario cart and spiro :)

GTA does nothing to the kids,if they kill someone then they was always going to kill as they are not right in the head.

I think it MAKES some not right in the head though, like desensitises those suggestible or maybe already angry and unhappy its just a view i have. It came from reserching the bobo doll experiment.

Mario Kart is bad too though, it teaches kids reckless driving.

I used to love it before everyone got internet. Out of my whole primary school class of 30, only 2 had internet first so we all used to go around there and wait for the AOL dial-up to load and buffer like sh*t JUST so we could watch a cartoon video "online" or something.
Now I don't know what I'd do without internet, everything's based around it these days e.g. college - instead of being told to use the library we were told to use websites.
Used to love it though playing WWF No Mercy on the N64 and then Crash Bandicoot, Rayman and Psybadeck on PS1 with my friends!

Yes, who cares that the reckless driving could get someone killed

But Mario Kart isn't real life and if somebody was going to run somebody else over then they was going to do it anyway, just a few months down the line is all.

I agree with you that's why I think anybody blaming them for crimes that a psycho kid commits is ridiculous.

I wouldn't compare a game where you drive around a princesses castle with a game where you can stab a pensior and nick her for what she is worth...
