Kaz
24-08-2002, 06:01 PM
Good evening everyone, and welcome to the third edition of ‘Five Lives’ - ThisisBigBrother.com's new weekly gameshow.

I’ll be your quizmaster for tonight’s show, and I would like to remind you very briefly of the rules.

1) Each contestant will be asked alternate random questions on Big Brother.

2) If you get a question right you stay on the lives you are on.

3) If you get a question wrong you lose 1 life, unless it's on your specialist series - in which you lose 2 lives.

4) The winner is declared when their opponent runs out of lives.

We cannot tell what you are doing, but we ask you to behave fairly and not look all the answers up in the book or to cheat in any other way.

Tonight’s contestants are James and Splodge. They will each be answering questions on BB1, BB2 and BB3. James has chosen BB2 as his specialist series, and Splodge has chosen BB1.

Good Luck to you both!

~Kaz~

Kaz

OK, we'll start off with a couple of easy questions to settle any nerves!

James, Question 1 - What is Dean's wife called?

James
24-08-2002, 06:07 PM
Vanessa

Kaz
24-08-2002, 06:08 PM
That's right James. Well done.

Splodge, Question 1 - Who was the first person evicted from the BB2 house?

splodge0
24-08-2002, 06:10 PM
Penny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Kaz
24-08-2002, 06:12 PM
Also right, splodge!

Both of you still have 5 lives remaining.

James, Question 2 - What nickname was Spencer given in the BB3 house?

James
24-08-2002, 06:13 PM
Spanky.

Kaz
24-08-2002, 06:15 PM
Spot on, James - it was Spanky. :spin2:

Splodge, Question 2 - What name does the 'P' stand for in 'PJ'?

splodge0
24-08-2002, 06:17 PM
LOL ........... Not a clue, but I'll go for Peter cos Paul is too obvious!! :colour:

Kaz
24-08-2002, 06:20 PM
That was a very lucky guess, splodge! PJ's christian name is indeed Peter!

James, Question 3 - Who was the second person evicted from the BB1 House?

James
24-08-2002, 06:22 PM
I'll say Andy.

Sada was the first out, I think.

Kaz
24-08-2002, 06:24 PM
Absolutely right, James - Andy was the second person evicted from the BB1 house.

You still have all 5 lives intact. :hello:

Splodge, Question 3 - In BB1, what was the colour theme for Nichola's birthday party?

splodge0
24-08-2002, 06:25 PM
Orange!

Kaz
24-08-2002, 06:28 PM
Correct! Very tasteful it was too!

You still have all 5 lives left as well.

James, Question 4 - In BB2, who slept in the double bed in the girls' bedroom?

James
24-08-2002, 06:30 PM
Not 100% sure but was it Amma? :conf:

I know Bubble got the double-bed in the boys room, I'm not sure about the girls.

Kaz
24-08-2002, 06:32 PM
Well done, James - it was Amma!

Splodge, Question 4 - In BB3, what did the housemates name the cockerel?

splodge0
24-08-2002, 06:38 PM
Sorry chaps and chapettes, puter needs defragging!! Sooooo slow!!!

Big Red anyway!!!! :colour:

Kaz
24-08-2002, 06:42 PM
It took you a while to reply, but that's the right answer, splodge! :hello:

James, Question 5 - What skill did Kate tackle during the 'Seaside Special' task?

James
24-08-2002, 06:44 PM
Spinning plates.

I think she chose 'Kate the Klutz' as her stage name.

Kaz
24-08-2002, 06:47 PM
You're absolutely right, James - and very pretty she looked in her pink costume!

Splodge, Question 5 - In BB2, which of his 5 tasks did Paddy fail to do?

splodge0
24-08-2002, 06:53 PM
I think it was Amma getting him to retrieve or was it roll over

Kaz
24-08-2002, 06:54 PM
Could you give us a final answer splodge?

Was it retrieving, or rolling over? :spin2:

splodge0
24-08-2002, 06:54 PM
fetch!

Kaz
24-08-2002, 06:58 PM
Well done, splodge - you picked the right one! Paddy refused point blank to fetch the toy that Amma threw for him.

James, Question 6 - In BB1, which two housemates brought a guitar into the house?

James
24-08-2002, 07:01 PM
Anna and - I'm guessing here - Darren

Kaz
24-08-2002, 07:04 PM
Phew!! Good guess, James - it was Anna and Darren.

Still all 5 lives left.

Splodge, Question 6 - In BB1, what was the name given to the lifelike baby doll that the housemates had to look after?

splodge0
24-08-2002, 07:10 PM
Ain't got a clue, so I'll have to pass :bawling:

Kaz
24-08-2002, 07:11 PM
If you pass, you'll still lose 2 lives as BB1 is your specialist series.

It's worth having a guess!

splodge0
24-08-2002, 07:14 PM
Nope, No good!

Kaz
24-08-2002, 07:16 PM
Sorry, splodge - the housemates called the doll 'Juanita'. Unfortunately you lose 2 lives. :bawling:

The current state of play is:

James on 5 lives
Splodge on 3 lives

James, Question 7 - What were the housemates given to wear at Jade's birthday party?

James
24-08-2002, 07:19 PM
Was it school uniforms?

Kaz
24-08-2002, 07:21 PM
It was indeed! And Alex looked very fetching in his grey skirt!

Splodge, Question 7 - In BB2, who tackled the 'Cream Cracker Eating' World Record?

splodge0
24-08-2002, 07:24 PM
Pecs! Big mouth but not enough spit :colour:

Kaz
24-08-2002, 07:28 PM
Correct, splodge - Josh made a valiant effort, but sadly failed to beat the record. :bawling:

You remain on 3 lives.

James, Question 8 - In BB1, did the housemates pass or fail the 'Semaphore' challenge?

James
24-08-2002, 07:30 PM
I don't know, so I'm going to guess.

Fifty - Fifty chance of being right.

They passed.

Kaz
24-08-2002, 07:32 PM
Bad luck James - you picked the wrong one! :bawling: They failed the Semaphore task.

You lose 1 life, as BB1 is not your specialist series.

Current state of play:

James - 4 lives
Splodge - 3 lives

Splodge, Question 8 - In BB3, what was the housemates' reward for passing the Roller Disco challenge?

splodge0
24-08-2002, 07:37 PM
"I like it uhu" party! :colour:

Kaz
24-08-2002, 07:39 PM
Can you be a bit more specific, splodge?

This was the occasion where Alex gave us the moment of the series with his 'That's the way I like it ....' behind the door, but what was the theme of the party? :spin2:

splodge0
24-08-2002, 07:40 PM
LOL.............70's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!

Kaz
24-08-2002, 07:43 PM
Sorry to be so picky!

But you're absolutely right - it was a 70's theme night, and was thoroughly enjoyed by all the housemates (even Tim!).

James, Question 9 - What was Penny doing in her picture for the BB2 calendar?

James
24-08-2002, 07:44 PM
Was she washing dishes?

Kaz
24-08-2002, 07:48 PM
No, I'm sorry James - Penny was kneading dough to make bread.

As BB2 is your specialist series, you lose 2 lives. :bawling:

So James is currently on 2 lives, and Splodge is on 3 lives.

Splodge, Question 9 - In BB1, which housemate discovered in the morning that a jacuzzi had been installed?

splodge0
24-08-2002, 07:52 PM
I think it was the day Claire arrived, but was it opened in the morning, or did they have to be sent to the bedroom..........

Kaz
24-08-2002, 07:55 PM
Yes, but who was the first housemate to discover that it had been installed? :conf: :spin2: :conf:

I need a name!!!

splodge0
24-08-2002, 07:57 PM
Craig spent most of the time in it with Claire......... A guess.....Craig :colour:

Kaz
24-08-2002, 08:01 PM
Nice try, splodge ........ but it was Anna who first discovered that the jacuzzi had been installed. :bawling:

I'm afraid that you lose another 2 lives.

This means that James is on 2 lives, and Splodge is on 1.

It's getting very exciting!

James, Question 10 - In BB3, which ex-housemates took part in the Egg and Spoon race?

James
24-08-2002, 08:03 PM
PJ, Spencer, Lee and Sophie

And Sophie won.

Kaz
24-08-2002, 08:05 PM
I couldn't have put it better myself, James. Correct answer.

Splodge, Question 10 - In BB2, what were the pairings for the dinner dates? (I need all three!)

splodge0
24-08-2002, 08:10 PM
Paul and Helen of course.
Brian and Josh
Dean and Liz :colour: :colour: :colour: :colour: :colour:

Kaz
24-08-2002, 08:11 PM
.... is the right answer. Well done, splodge. :hello:

James, Question 11 - In BB2, who played Dean in the Soap Opera?

James
24-08-2002, 08:14 PM
Helen. Hilariously.

Orroight, Orroight, Orroight.

Kaz
24-08-2002, 08:17 PM
You're right, James - she was brilliant! :hello:

Well done - you stay on 2 lives.

Splodge, Question 11 - In BB3, which housemate called Spencer 'cocky' and 'arrogant'?

splodge0
24-08-2002, 08:20 PM
Almost any of them except Kate............

splodge0
24-08-2002, 08:21 PM
Got to be a girl

splodge0
24-08-2002, 08:22 PM
Adele or Lynne

Kaz
24-08-2002, 08:23 PM
.............. do you have an answer, splodge?

You decide! :colour:

splodge0
24-08-2002, 08:23 PM
Nope, Adele was trying to keep in too much. Lynne.

Kaz
24-08-2002, 08:27 PM
You got there in the end, splodge! :spin2:

It was indeed Lynne who called Spencer 'cocky' and 'arrogant' during one of her more inebriated moments!

You still have 1 life left.

James, Question 12 - BB3 - What was the name of the song that the housemates wrote for Tim?

James
24-08-2002, 08:29 PM
'Welcome to the house' or "Welcome to our house'

Is that specific enough?

Kaz
24-08-2002, 08:33 PM
That'll do nicely, James - it was 'Welcome to our House'. :dazzler:

Splodge, Question 12 - In BB2, where did the housemates discover the '11th housemate' rag doll?

splodge0
24-08-2002, 08:35 PM
The den!

Kaz
24-08-2002, 08:38 PM
Correct, splodge - they found the rag doll in Helen & Paul's favourite place - the Den!

James still has 2 lives left
Splodge has 1 life left

James, Question 13 - Which dating programme does Mel from BB1 currently present?

James
24-08-2002, 08:39 PM
'Chained' on E4.

I've never watched it though!

Kaz
24-08-2002, 08:42 PM
That's the right answer, James. And it's probably just as well that you've never watched it!!!

Splodge, Question 13 - BB1 - What is Caroline's surname?

splodge0
24-08-2002, 08:44 PM
O'shea!!!!!! :colour:

splodge0
24-08-2002, 08:47 PM
O'Shea actually

Kaz
24-08-2002, 08:47 PM
Well done, splodge - her name is Caroline O'Shea!

James, Question 14 - In BB2, the hypnotism practical joke was played on which housemates?

James
24-08-2002, 08:50 PM
Helen, Paul and Brian

They fell for it hook, line, sinker, angler's arm.

All that was left was a chair by the river bank.

Kaz
24-08-2002, 08:54 PM
LOL! Yes, it was a classic moment from BB2. Absolutely right, James.

Splodge, Question 14 - In BB3, after the Musical Chairs task, which housemates joined Jonny on the poor side?

splodge0
24-08-2002, 09:01 PM
Was this the second or third week of the bars.......... hmmmm

Kaz
24-08-2002, 09:04 PM
........ do you have an answer, splodge? :colour:  :colour:

splodge0
24-08-2002, 09:06 PM
I have a problem remembering which task was which week. Is this a catch. I'm going for all of them except Tim and Kate who then lost and joined them. :colour:

Kaz
24-08-2002, 09:08 PM
It's not a catch, splodge. Alex won the musical chairs task, and Jonny lost. What I want to know is who joined Jonny on the poor side that week. :spin2:

splodge0
24-08-2002, 09:16 PM
Then it was Kate, Tim, and Spanky

Kaz
24-08-2002, 09:19 PM
I'm SO sorry, Splodge - it was Kate, Tim and SOPHIE that joined Jonny on the poor side.

Unfortunately you lose your last life. :bawling: :bawling: :bawling:

That means that James is the winner of this week's Five Lives competition, with 2 lives remaining. :hello: :hello: :hello:

Commiserations, splodge, you played a great game.

And good luck to James for the next round! :hello: :elephant: :hello: :elephant: :hello:
