is there a point in it? well if there is a point what do you think it is? You might think it's money, children, career, success, fame, etc

I think for me the main point of life is reproduction, i.e. to have children.

To live, reproduce and die. Along with most other species.
Although I am open to some spiritualism and the possibility of an after life.

To procreate and ensure the human race continues. Otherwise there simply would be no point.

It seems funny to me to think that in 100 years or so probably everyone here will be gone

The point of life is to live :) and everyone has their own interpretation of what 'living' means.

yep, and to enjoy the experience along the way, with it's good, bad, lows and highs.

Ronan Keating reinforces my idea that there is no point :bawling:

Actually I've never bothered listening to any of his other songs but that one is amazing.

Ronan Keating is one of the very few artists I've seen live, the man is a legend

There is no point to life...we're just...here. But that doesn't mean you can't enjoy it.

Might as well live it as best as you can while you're here, you only get one shot.

I agree that we should make the most of it but we don't know anything for sure though, As far as I know.

I do that way too often, it's like it has a mind of it's own...

Strong question.

I believe it's a very big experience of love, pain, success, failure etc. etc. It's tough to define the sole 'point of life' because many people live their lives differently

Good question fruit_cake, I don't know,I hold views of things and although not religious somehow I can accept something beyond the life we have now.

I look around at the World and just find it so hard to grasp that all happened without some planning for life to be as it is. There must be a further reason for the bonds, love and connections we develop in life.

No one has the answer, maybe there is no answer even but I would like to think,(all material things aside), that the families we have, the friends we have and all the bonds, love and connection of all that mean something and lead to something else after this life.

Great question though and one that we can talk about forever without ever getting any 100% answers to likely.
