When you get old and die would you rather be buried or cremated?

I know 95+ percent of people here are no where near the age when they should think about this but when it's your time would you rather be buried or cremated?

Most of my family have been buried so it is likely I will follow that path I guess,(a very long way off in the future though I hope).

I wish to be buried but I have put a proviso in my will that I wish to be embalmed. That should take care of any fears of being buried alive!

I'm not religious and I don't believe in after life, but this way does give you some sort of after life, by providing food for new life.

No idea, I know when I die I want to donate like an eye or heart or something to help someone else but after that they can do whatever they want to me, i'll be dead anyway so it's not like i'll be bothered. :tongue:

i want to leave my body to medical science,I carry a donor card so my 'bits' can also be used,but I will be cremated,I have a fear of waking up in a coffin 6' under!!!!

But I want some of my ashes buried so when people come to visit my grave - it's not just a ******ing stone above the ground with pretty flowers, and it'll actually mean something because apart of me is underground.

Also, at least my family can keep my ashes in the house.

I mean I'm not too keen on the idea of being burnt, but I'd take that - over having my beautiful body horribly ate by rats, and rotting under the ground for ages.

Given the options: I really don't care what happens. I'm dead - it's a bit of flesh and bones leftover - I don't have any desire or want to have a fuss made over some useless defunct organs.

If I'd be a healthier sod, I'd have left my body to medical school but I've abused it so much I'd have to pay them to take it - unless they like fingernails: I have lovely fingernails. !! :D
