YAY! I've missed the Zombie Championship :laugh:

Bit of a disappointing episode considering it was the first back after a break, but seemed to be just setting the scene for future trials and tribulations heading their way.

I think every show I watch at the moment, have got together behind my back and agreed to make a stream of underwhelming programming. Just to annoy me.

Suits is coming to an end too, so pretty soon I'll be left with nothing.

I can't watch The Walking Dead, I can't stand finding myself getting attached to a character only for a zombie to end up eating them :bawling: So I only catch bits here and there when channel hopping. An ok episode, with one obvious milestone that people have been wondering about for 3 series now. Apart from that, the continuing integration of Michonne is a good thing, but I think I liked her best as the ninja with zombie pets.

Next weeks looks as though it could be action packed, so at least we may get an explosive episode.

I really enjoyed that episode, the scenes between Rick & Morgan were particularly well done imo, I really hope it isnt the last we see of Morgan either I think he would be a great addition to the prison group.

Yeah definitely, starting to give Michonne a bit of a personality is a good idea at this stage, the ninja enigma thing can only work for so long :laugh:

It was one of the strongest episodes they've done. I loved Michonne's character development and the moment she had with Rick, I hope they don't end up reverting back to her being a angry samurai in the next episode. I also like how far Carl's character has come considering how hateful he was in the last series.

Watched Episode 13 last night

Not a great episode I don't think but I guess they're building up for a big battle. I hope Rick doesn't sell out Michonne, the horrible bastard, Carl would be dead if it wasn't for her (hhhmmm ok maybe that's an argument to kill her actually)

Funny how in this season the Zombies aren't even prominent anymore, the first 2 were all about the Zombies and they were a huge threat and picked off alot of their crew. This season, they're about as threatening as flies that they swat away lol

It was 10 minutes of content spread out over 50. I'm seriously bored with the Woodbury story now. Just kill off the Governer and Andrea and be done with it.

The problem is that they're in a massive fortified prison, so it's nigh on impossible to manufacture a situation where zombies are really an issue anymore. They had to throw a couple of stragglers into a scene when there was no real need for any in this episode. I don't really understand why they need to go to war in the first place. If that was me, I'd happily divide it up into territories and have nothing to do with the other lot.

The battle will probably rip through the prison, and force them back on the road for season 4, because its a bit of a dead end if it doesn't.

I think the governors lap dog will get word to them through Andrea, about his plans to massacre them in one go.

The baby won't die. There is no way they'll write that into the show I don't think. The baby is the one beacon of hope after the zombie apocalypse. Rick is bad enough this season with Lori dead, I'd hate him to be dealing with that in season 4. It could make it unwatchable. I think there is a massive clearout coming though, and about 40 people are supposed to die in the war, apparently.

So, it's always good to take the time to watch a show and then see the episode leave things pretty much how they started. The only thing that changed is that Andrea became a real prisoner, rather than a virtual one. Whoopi doo.

I thought walkers were attracted by noise? Well apparently the only bit of noise in an echoey abandoned factory didn't attract them. America is a huge country and you could probably walk for days without seeing one, yet they all seem to hang out in groups in the places least likely to find any actual brainzzzzzz to eat.

I'm sure the finale will be a really good fight, but was this an episode that really needed to happen? It's lost the suspense. They need to be back on the road and moving around. I don't know why they just don't build a big moat round the prison and we can spend each episode watching walkers fall in. Can't be any worse. Really disappointed in this season.

I can let things slide if I'm rooting for someone - like Dexter, but when the only person worth actually giving a damn about (Daryl) flits in and out of each season, then it gets harder. Michonne, Merle, Daryl, and the governor are the only interesting characters. I can't hate Glenn, Maggie, and Hershel, but would anyone notice if they disappeared out of the show?


And not only that, but he then managed to pick out the exact spot on the perimeter of the prison where she would walk through. She obviously thought she was leaving the governor in the factory to die, but she didn't try and take the van? Who would think it's safer to walk around, than take a nice van that probably contains at least one big ****** off gun. Even if he did survive, why leave the van with him?

Yeah I agree, they need some decent new characters and a completely different change of scene in Season 4. Killing a few more off would do no harm either.

The van was the first thing I thought of too when she escaped from The Governor, now ok maybe he had the keys (although I would have thought after spending so much time in the new apocalyptic world that she might have learned to hot wire a car but lets assume she can't and he had the key on him) why not slash his tires atleast on the off chance that he escapes from the Zombies?

Yeah I agree, they need some decent new characters and a completely different change of scene in Season 4. Killing a few more off would do no harm either.

The van was the first thing I thought of too when she escaped from The Governor, now ok maybe he had the keys (although I would have thought after spending so much time in the new apocalyptic world that she might have learned to hot wire a car but lets assume she can't and he had the key on him) why not slash his tires atleast on the off chance that he escapes from the Zombies?

I read an interview where the producers of the show said that the zombies would be more of a threat in season 4. and not seem manageable like they do in season 3

Well I sort of know who dies in the comics, and as of yet the tv producers haven't really stuck to the comic book deaths.. the same people have died but in different ways so I fully expect some of the people I know who die to die in the season finale.

Yeah, I saw that but the way that the aid initiated the conversation with the governor seemed to heavily imply his guilt to me. It was also after his scenes with Andrea when they seemed to be united in their desire to try and protect the prison lot from needless slaughter.

Wow.

What a great episode, and a reminder of how great this show has been, and can be when it stops using episodes as fillers.

Rick finally puts this Lori nonsense to bed (or so it seems), the excellent scenes between Michonne and Merle, and the humanising of Merle to protect his brother and the group. All great moments. That's without the Merle zombification and his death scene with Daryl - which was genuinely moving. So much was crammed into this episode, that it just makes me sad how little they seem to have bothered with the rest of the season.

Zombies actually still exist and try to eat people, rather than being fenced out. Definitely head and shoulders above any other episode this season.

My favourite of the series so far. Although the bar has been set pretty low this season.

Now that is a shout. The only time he could do it would be to protect Andrea near the beginning, and we see him go to attack the prison with preview for next week, so not sure when he'd get the opportunity.

Maybe the prison will pack up (as we saw) and lay a trap for the woodbury lot, so as they go steaming in to the prison, the prison lot ambush them from behind, and lock them in with zombies, which disposes of a lot of them, but stragglers could get out and fight with the prison lot.

The governor makes it back to woodbury with a skeleton team, and is disposed of by Michonne or Daryl.
