View Full Version : Just heard a story that sent chills all over my body

My mum works at our local Tesco and a woman who works in the garage told her today about an incident that happened last night.

It was late and the garage forecourt was empty except for one car. The car belonged to a lady and she filled her car and made her way to pay.

When she got to the counter the cashier asked her to come inside. The woman refused and didn't want to so the cashier asked her again.

She then said to the woman, 'I don't want you to be alarmed but I've just seen a man in a mask get into the back of your car and lay himself down on the back seat. I've already phoned the police and I need you to come in and pretend to browse.'

It turns out once the police had arrived that the man was a serial rapist that had escaped from where he was being held.

When I heard it reminded me of Urban Legends

How scary is that?

I'm sure I've been warned about this kind of thing before by someone...that you should always keep an eye on your boot or something because there's been cases where people jump in and follow you home (or wherever you're going) to either kill you, or in this case - rape you.

****ing freaky :o

The moral of the story is lock your car when you leave it unattended

Which is especially creepy because today, the first time in my life, I left a car unlocked and unattended (My aunt told me to) while she went to get money from a hole in the wall, and I went to the bus stop to see some friends home. Now it was light and the boot can be seen (the dog goes in there if we go on long journeys or something) but they could still have got in there.

And the same day I come home and read this :o

I think you will find that the story has been doing the rounds for years. A little google session will tell you that. And last week it was doing the rounds on Facebook.

Moral of the story.....

'That said, the advice in the message to always lock your car, even at petrol stations is worth heeding. Thieves have certainly stolen valuables from cars - and sometimes the cars as well - while the owner was inside paying for a petrol purchase'

Glenn.
17-02-2012, 12:47 PM
Yeah your right. Regardless of whether the story is real or an urban legend, the moral of the story is to lock your car when it's unattended.

My friend had her phone stolen from her car when she left it unlocked at the pump. Luckily someone spotted him and he was caught.

It like that one where a young woman is driving on mountain hillside and someone keeps following her in a car and flashing their headlights through her back window. And the car follows her all the way home and when she gets out to confront they tell her to call the police as there is someone in her back seat, and they were flashing the lights to stop the killer from striking.

They probably all originated from the 60's and 70's in America when serial killers seemed to be popping up every 3 weeks. Tales of caution or whatever.

When I was a student sharing a flat, I came home really late one night and in the dark, I could just make out someone sleeping on the sofa. So instead of turning on the light and risk waking them up, I went straight to bed. When I got up the next morning I found my flatmate’s body on the sofa; her throat had been cut and written on the wall in her blood were the words “aren’t you glad you didn’t turn on the light?”

That’s true, that is… it’s true.

It's not really true....is it?
I wouldn't have moved off the therapists couch yet if that happened to me

It's just as true as the OP.

Oh Livia, I just remembered...
When I was at uni a student friend of mine at a party took a sip of her drink and passed out. When she woke up she was in a bath of ice in a strange hotel. Realising something was seriously wrong she looked down to see a huge scar and began to scream. The noise attracted attention and an ambulance was called. When the medics arrived they explained that this is not the first time this has happened and that it is likely that her kidney was removed to be sold on the black market.
..Don't know how I forgot that....must have blocked it from my mind
...true story...true, true, true story
True Livia

I believe it. I believe it all. I've seen lots of students have a drink and pass out... There's your evidence.

...and there was this other time...it's all coming back now...like a floodgate opening..
A young couple I knew, on a trip to a well-known lover's lane were disturbed by screams outside their car and the boy reluctantly got out to investigate. When he didn't return, my friend began to panic, especially when she heard a repetitive banging noise on the roof of the car. Putting the vehicle into gear she tried to speed away but something kept pulling her back. The banging noise turned out to be the sound of her boyfriend's feet - a madman had hung him by the neck with a rope that had been wrapped round a tree then tied to the car's bumper. When my friend tried to drive away she just tightened the noose around her boyfriend's neck

..that's true Livia
I'm not sure how I could have forgotten that..it probably didn't seem important at the time

Non-Believer Alert!

What do you want, real evidence or something?
