Fresh off of his Grammy performances and the backlash from music fans and celebrities alike, singer Chris Brown is being accused of making light of his 2009 assault conviction.
According to a report from Us Weekly, the singer –who pleaded guilty to felony assault of his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009 – has reportedly been using the pick-up line, “I promise I won’t beat you.”
A woman tells the magazine that Brown approached her on Feb. 10 at the Lasio Professional Hair Care suite at the Grammy gift lounge to ask for her number.
“Can I get your number? I promise I won’t beat you,” the woman said he told her.
“He and his friends laughed, then one yelled, ‘That’s his new line!’” she said. “I wanted to throw up.”
Following the Grammys Sunday, Brown’s two performances and one win have received significant criticism on social networks.
Country singer Miranda Lambert wrote on her Twitter page, “He beat on a girl ... Not cool that we act like that didn't happen. He needs to listen to Gunpowder and lead and be put back in his place. Not at the Grammys.”
“Gunpowder and Lead” is one of Lambert’s songs that deals with domestic violence.
Other celebs including Jack Osbourne, “Modern Family” star Eric Stonestreet and Michelle Branch similarly expressed frustration for Brown’s appearance.
According to Us magazine, Rihanna and Chris Brown have been spending time together over the past year and may even be recording a single together.

How do we know that he even said that? Because some random "anonymous source" said that he did?
Give me a ********* break.
People believe everything that they read.

Not condoning what he did but the more exposed and annoying Rihanna gets the less I hate him.

Well what else could it mean? How else could the increasing presence of Rihanna make you hate him less?
Rihanna got better after her beating. Just sayin...

This is why I hate him. He's an arrogant little **** who shows absolutely no remorse for his actions. If I had the chance I'd happily kick him in the face. :bored:

Just read this police report that leaked yesterday, and I feel sick. If she ever got back with him, I'd lose all my respect for her.

and what's that got to do with liking him more?
If she was nice and I liked her then i'd hate him. Since I don't think she's a particularly nice person, which has become more apparant now she's overexposed I care less about what happened to her.

It doesn't matter whether he said it or not, the fact of the matter is that he is a complete and utter rancid ****.
I am stunned by that link to the police report. I get that Rihanna wouldn't want to speak out about something like that but she is a global superstar, she is in exactly the kind of position to be raising effective awareness and giving women hope to speak out.

Probably not be much longer until you lose that respect. This is from last night:
Chris Brown was so paranoid about keeping his attendance at Rihanna's birthday party a big fat secret -- he actually tried to FORCE partygoers to sign confidentiality agreements ... TMZ has learned.
Sources tell us, Chris refused to enter the private party Monday night at the famous Hearst Mansion in Beverly Hills until everyone signed an NDA -- sending his henchmen in beforehand to gather every partygoer's signature.
We're told although they didn't get EVERYONE to sign -- Chris eventually walked in ... and spent a huge chunk of the night nuzzling up against Rihanna.
Chris Brown -- Don't Tell ANYONE I Was at Rihanna's Birthday | TMZ.com
According to sources, the two got real intimate -- sitting next to each other, talking, and holding hands ... all perfectly legal ever since the restraining order was lifted.
As for the rest of the party -- we're told it was jam-packed with celebs including Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, and Chris Martin (no Gwyneth).
Rihanna's cake was pretty badass too -- a giant spliff ... with a small Rihanna made out of icing, riding it like a horse.
Chris' rep tells TMZ, confidentiality agreements were distributed only to workers at the party and anyone who was caught videotaping/snapping a pic of CB.
Asking people to sign confidentiality agreements AFTER they've already taken pics -- priceless.

Couldn't care what he does privately.
His music got 10x better after the incident. That's what I care about. He was and is a much better artist than Rihanna. Beautiful People along with his Verse & Hook on Champion>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Anything Rihanna has done.
