These figures are pretty shocking really i thought they would be way higher.

Last years celebrity big brother drew a total of 400,000 votes for the series.
This years saw an increase said to be due to the introduction of facebook voting and saw a total of 700,000 votes cast during the whole series.
Its not really an increase of voters though is it its just the same people casting multiple votes because they made them cheaper.

Not releasing afterwards them seems pointless i can see why they dont do it during a series but theres no point witholding them now.

It certainly makes it easy for "interested parties" to rig/swing the results ..... :idc:

You can certainly see how the forums have an impact on the vote.

What other show on CH5 would get 700,000 votes (even though I don't think any exist)? None. It's great for 5.

I expect bb12 got much more because of Aaron fans and who even votes for cbb?

The hardcore fans vote more during the civilian series - you only get the little teen girls who get wet over people like Romeo, Kirk and Frankie voting hundreds of times on Facebook for CBB.

Great news it's still generating like £18million

if i remember the phone vote was 36p per vote x that by 490,000 (reported phone votes cast)

Total revenue £17,640,000

With the other FB vote etc, it's around the 20mil mark. Then with advertiser income etc, i'm not surprised channel 5 are delighted, they're £££££ in. Probably made around 25mil+ from the series alone maybe more, as a rough estimate.

At least they're pumping some of that profit back into the show via advertising etc.

Seriously if Channel 5 are gunna pay around 80-100mill for another 3/4 years i'm not suprised if they jump at the chance.

Eh?

I make it £176,400 and that will have to be split between the production company, the broadcaster and the phone vote operator ..... :idc:

(and charities, too ..... :puzzled:)

I don't think Endemol get any of it, just Channel 5 and the operator.

It won't be any £18m, though, whoever gets part of it ..... ;)
