Can we have the ignore option upgraded, If I want to ignore someone, I want to forget that they're on the forum and not be able to see anything they post/threads they make, whereas atm we have that stupid notification
And ik it can be done, coz one time Andy made a multi account and James put it on ultimate ignore or something, and he was trolling the forum but noone could see coz he was on everyone's ignore list :nono:

How rude, the point of a forum is that there are lots of differing opinions and personalities. If you have a problem with someone just dont respond to them...

If we don't want to read the posts of someone, or see that they posted, then we shouldn't have to. :nono:
I put someone on my ignore list during BB and I was going to remove them because they stopped coming on, then I realised that's probably because they're on ignore...I think...I'm not sure, I haven't done it before

I was actually thinking earlier of an idea that's slightly the opposite to this: the possibility of being able to click something on the "You have this user on ignore" message and being able to temporarily view their post.
It's just from time to time the members I have on ignore might post in a thread that's interesting and I'll want to see their post, however much I can't stand the rest of theirs, but it seems a longwinded way to unignore them, find the thread again, read it and then put them back on ignore.

Personally, the only people I put on my ignore list are people that have flashing sigs. My Brother has epilepsy and if I leave the site open and he comes on the PC to use it after me and he sees it it can trigger an attack. I'm not saying that people shouldn't have flashing sigs, just that I have to be careful.
As for people who annoy me, I've learnt to just have my say, leave the thread and move on.
Niamh.

Every one is entitled to have an opinion on suggestions not just those that are in favour of it.
Also this has already been brought up in admin, theres not much more we can do about it atm so bumping it isnt going to make a difference.

OK, whichever way works best I suppose.
Well I've contacted Kaz twice now and she hasn't gotten back to me on both occasions so it does seem a little old. Maybe they do, but surely they as admins should be looking into this when they come online seeing as a lot of the forum are in favor of it. This thread was made nearly a month ago now and we still haven't got a reply.
I know the thread was made nearly a month ago, but all we can do is bring it up in admin and we have done so, I havent noticed Kaz online lately maybe thats why she hasnt replied to the pms but again thats only a guess.

It could be changed easily so that it didn't say the name of the person being ignored, but that would change it for everyone.
But if you use Firefox or Chrome there is a script you can download that removes the message. I'll test it first if you want.

Okay.
To completely ignore users on your ignore list -
For Firefox first go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/greasemonkey/ and install the Greasemonkey add-on.
Then restart you browser and click this link http://www.ardiman.de/assets/files/firefox/vbulletinfullignore.user.js
Click Install to run script.
For Chrome click the link http://www.ardiman.de/assets/files/firefox/vbulletinfullignore.user.js and click Install.
To get rid of it in Chrome go to Options - Extensions, then remove and in Firefox go to Tools - Greasemonkey - Manage User Scripts, then remove.
UPDATE: For Chrome it might not let you install extension outside of Chrome Web Store anymore so try this instead - https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/vbulletin-super-ignore-hi/ofknlcbgndkfidhnflccifbkmipcapnh?hl=en-GB
UPDATE: For Safari I think you need to install GreaseKit-1.7.dmg from http://8-p.info/greasekit/ first - I haven't tested this.
Callum

I'm far too nosy for ignore lists
[2]
I've tried in the past but then end up looking at their posts anyway out of curiosity, pointless.

I wish I made better use of it, if I'd used it better I probably would have saved myself a lot of infractions!
That's basically what I use mine for. It's handy during BB if somebody really hates who you stan and they keep slagging them off you can just ignore them during the episode

i'm thinking of adding one now tbh
Do it, you can easily take them off if curiosity gets the best of you like it does the rest of us :hehe:

To get rid of it in Chrome go to Options - Extensions, then remove and in Firefox go to Tools - Greasemonkey - Manage User Scripts, then remove.
this isn't working </3
Yas It works so well
Google chrome is being a little bitch and not letting you use extensions that have been downloaded from websites other than the Chrome Web Store anymore. This means that unfortunately James' link does not work anymore. But, you can use an extension which is basically identical and will work all the time! You can get that here.
