BIG BROTHER 2012; The Eye of the Storm

Hello and Welcome to my brand-new project, The Eye of the Storm. For Big Brother's thirteenth Series, the show sees some changes, some old and some new. Here are the main points for the series

The Format stays fairly unchanged apart from changes to the Nomination process. The Series will last a total of 93 Days, beginning on Thursday 17th May 2012 and coming to a end on Friday 17th August 2012. The Series will see 16 Housemates enter on Launch Night, with the new presenting Line Up to be announced..

The Nominations process will be explained in full later on in the Project.

Actually i did more than you think. The eye template had to be cut out completely out of the titles eye from 2011, the background needed to be cut and stuff added/coloured. I needed to change the eye colour.

It's not that, it's the way it looks. Thanks by the way Glenn and Sam :)

The Advertising campaign is being released at midnight hopefully

Advertising Campaign

Three months before Launch, the final Auditions Adverts will air using the previous eye from the previous series, Space. Open Auditions will be held in Glasgow, Newcastle, Birmingham, Manchester, Cardiff, London and also Bristol. The Adverts will include shots of the names and dates.

The main promotional advert will feature a stormy background with writing appearing describing the new series. The eye will appear in a grey colour at the end before displaying the date. The Day countdown will return and will feature the same graphics as the main advert. The magazine advert features a plain design.

Presenting Line Up:

Davina McCall:
After leaving the show when it finished on Channel 4 in 2010, Davina initially turned down the offer to return to the show on Channel 5. However, after consideration, Davina McCall will return to Big Brother to front the main show throughout 2012. Davina will host the live shows of Big Brother as well as special shows, as well as being a regular guest on spin-off shows.

Emma Willis:
Emma Willis returns to Big Brother once again hosting spin-off show Big Brother’s Bit On The Side. Emma will host Bit On The Side alongside Alice Levine who returns to the show. The show is described in more detail below

Dermot O’Leary:
Dermot O’Leary returns to Big Brother after leaving the show in 2008 to present ITV’s “The X Factor”. Dermot will front returning spin-off show Big Brother’s Little Brother which is returning after ending in 2010, following the final Channel 4 series.

Show Details

MAIN SHOW:
The Main show will air at 9pm from Saturday –Thursday. The show will air the highlights from the previous day, giving viewers the recap of what has happened inside of the House

EVICTION SHOWS:
Eviction shows will air on Friday’s at 9pm, and again at 10:30pm. The first show will give viewers the highlights from the previous day as well as the round up from the week. The viewers at the end of the show will also find out who has been evicted. The second show will see the evicted Housemate leave the House and interviewed by Davina.

BIG BROTHER’S LITTLE BROTHER:
Big Brother’s Little Brother will air daily on Channel 5 at 6:25pm. The show will be hosted by Dermot O’Leary. The show will give viewers exclusive interviews with celebrities, Housemates as well as game shows and exclusive looks into the House.

BIG BROTHER’S BIT ON THE SIDE:
Big Brother’s Bit On The Side will air daily, Monday-Friday on Channel 5 and on 5* during the weekends. The show will air after the highlights show and the second eviction shows. The Saturday show will be hosted by Alice Levine only and will take the format of a chat-show. The Sunday show will be hosted by Alice Levine, with Emma Willis and Dermot O’Leary present as the team-captains of the Big Brother Game Show.

Another show is yet to be revealed, as well as the format changes..

I think that having 9pm eviction's and then the exit and interview at 10:30pm is a great idea. Having to wait until 11, and then BOTS after that was just too long and meant the interview shows with Brian in BB12 suffered ratings wise.

This isn't real. Obviously. It's what i would like to happen. Dermot would probably love to return to Big Brother. So therefore i've placed him here. It's just an idea. And The X Factor isn't the UK's biggest TV Show, and the ratings from the last series proved that. Strictly over performed it.

BIG BROTHER - New Live Shows

BIG BROTHER returns for it's thirteenth series with brand new shows and old shows returning.

Nominations: Live
Every Sunday night, Davina McCall with host Nominations Live. This is a new show in which sees Housemates nominate with the new Nominations Twist which will be revealed on the first Nominations Day. The Show will air on Channel 5 on a weekly basis at 9pm, lasting until 10:30pm. Highlights will be 40 minutes.

Saturday Night: Live
Following the Highlights Show, at 9pm, Emma Willis hosts Saturday Night: Live which will see Housemates undergo a mini task task to win treats or in some cases tricks for the House. The Show lasts Half an Hour and will be followed by Big Brother's Bit On The Side.

Big Brother: Live
24/7 Live Streaming returns with Big Brother 2012. The Streaming will be broadcast online for £14.99 for the series. There will also be selected broadcasting slots on 5* for the Live Feed.

The Studios
Big Brother's Little Brother returns with a new studio design. The Studio is shared by BBLB, Saturday Night Live as well as Nominations Live. Big Brother's Bit On The Side has a separate Studio.

The large eye door seen in the exterior previously has moved into the BBLB Studio, acting as a entrance for Dermot and the guests. The walls are covered in colour changing lights. There is a stage area with a desk for news.

Launch Night
Big Brother 2012 will launch on May 17th 2012 and will see the eventual 16 Housemates enter the Big Brother House. But a twist will be present as soon as the Housemates enter.

The Exterior stage sees the stairs to the House removed, and a ground level door in it's place. The large exterior stage is still present but has had a change. The eye door is located at the back of the stage, with the interview area in the open outside. The catwalk comes to an end at the circular podium.

Ok, so things are different than usual this year. For instance we have a ground floor entrance route which means a long hallway...

Entrance Hall
The Entrance Hall features for the first time since Big Brother 2004, as a ground level entrance. There are a collection of different lights throughout to try and confuse the Housemates. There are also a collection of different shaped mirrors.

Living Area and Launch Night Twist

On the Live Launch of Big Brother 2012, Davina will commence in a House Tour. She will show viewers the Entrance Hall before entering the Living Area. However, the Living Area will not feature any furniture, apart from 16 individual canvas beds and two wooden benches. This is because, Housemates will be required to unlock the different rooms in order to use them. Housemates will be set different tasks to win that particular room, starting with The Garden, which also does not feature any furniture.

The Garden will be fully furnished after the Housemates finish the task.

Fully Finished Living Area
The Living Area, when furnished will feature a dining table with 16 seats, a beanbag sofa as well as the main sofa area. The Sofas are in a grey and red format. There is also a coffee table in the middle, which is on top of a stripy carpet. Two modern lamps sit either side of the sofa area.

The Bedroom - 1

This year, for the first time since Big Brother 2008 there are two different and separate bedrooms. Both have a completely different design to each other. This is the first.

This bedroom can be accessed via the Living Area, by the door next to the Store room. The Bedroom features a harsh clash of purple colours which is designed to annoy and cause Housemates to feel uncomfortable. Also, there is no longer a main Bathroom. In the place of a Bathroom, there is a Sink area in this bedroom, as well as a Wetroom and toilet. In the second bedroom there is a Shower room and toilet.

The House is designed to be cramped, as stated already. The Colours are perfect, and the beds are Conors which Glenn has stated below. This House was finished before this thread was even made.

The second Bedroom and Garden are going to be a little while away. I'm adding in rooms at the moment which i've only just thought about including.

Modern Bedroom
The Second Bedroom is located off the Living Room. It features double beds and a dark design. There is a door for a toilet.

For the first time since Big Brother 9, there isn't a large Task Room. The Garden features a large grass area for Tasks. Around it is a large deck area which features a plunge pool, smoking area and a large sheltered BBQ Area for the summer nights:

The Diary Room can be accessed via a corridor which can be entered via the Living Area. The Diary Room wall is a blue and black striped area. The Diary Room interior features a blue and black themed decorative design.

Thanks for all the views and comments i've received throughout the project. It has made me improve my skills and much more i've thought of new ideas.
