It has been confirmed that Big Brother will be returning to Dreamworld for the new series

There has been a flood of speculation as to where the iconic Big Brother house and studio will be located, and Dreamworld is pleased to reveal its involvement in the new show.

Dreamworld Chief Executive Officer, Todd Coates, said “Dreamworld is incredibly excited to be the home of the new Big Brother series. The Big Brother house and studios will be an iconic attraction at Dreamworld and for the Gold Coast.”

It is fantastic news for Dreamworld, and also for the local film and tourism industries. Dreamworld is proud to participate in this significant investment into the Gold Coast,” Mr Coates continued.

Southern Star Executive Producer, Big Brother 2012, Alex Mavroidakis said, “Southern Star Entertainment is thrilled to bring Big Brother back to its natural home, Dreamworld on Queensland’s Gold Coast.”

“Our hub at Dreamworld always allows us to create a show that is truly dynamic and after a four year break, we’re excited to build a brand-new House that will exceed Housemate and audience expectations,” Mr Mavroidakis continued.

The programme is scheduled to air on the Nine Network later this year. Tickets for shows have not yet been confirmed.

I don't see the point in getting a new host/s, tbh. Gretel would never do BB again, but I'm sure Kyle and Jackie (who I liked) would be up for it, and I'd be happy for them to return. I never understood why people criticised them. =/

But unfortunately Sonia Kruger will be hosting. Maybe she'll be amazing, though.

I never liked the way the house was in a theme park I don't know why it just bothered me, that's why I was hopping for a new house.

^ I wonder what gets more security

The Aussie House or the UK house

The one by a amusement park or the one in a suburb.

Didn't some guy actually sneak into the Queen's bedroom a few years ago or something? I think i remember reading something like that.

Found it. "Michael Fagan (born 1951) was an intruder who broke into Buckingham Palace and entered the Queen's bedchamber in the early hours of 9 July 1982. The unemployed father of four children managed to evade electronic alarms as well as both palace and police guards."

Here's the rest, for those who don't wish to follow the link but want to read:

It was the 31-year-old's[4] second successful attempt to break into Buckingham Palace. On his first attempt, he scaled a drainpipe, briefly startling a housemaid who called security, who subsequently decided not to act. Fagan entered through an unlocked window on the roof and spent the next half hour eating cheddar cheese and crackers and wandering around. He tripped several alarms, but they were faulty. He viewed the royal portraits and rested on the throne for a while. He then entered the postroom, where the pregnant Diana, Princess of Wales had hidden presents for her first son, William. He drank half a bottle of white wine before becoming tired and leaving.[5]

On the second attempt, an alarm sensor detected him. A worker in the Palace thought the alarm to be false, and silenced the alarm. En route to see the Queen, he broke a glass ashtray, lacerating his hand.

The Queen woke when he disturbed a curtain, after which he sat on the edge of her bed talking to her for about ten minutes. The Queen phoned twice for police but none came. He then asked for some cigarettes, which were brought by a maid. When the maid did not return to base for some time, footman Paul Whybrew appeared. The incident happened as the armed police officer outside the royal bedroom came off duty before his replacement arrived. He had been out walking the Queen's dogs.
