Amy Childs: I can empathise with Whitney Houston

The Only Way Is Essex star Amy Childs has said that she can empathise with the late Whitney Houston over her struggles with fame.

The reality TV personality made the comparison to the 'I Will Always Love You' singer when she admitted to having received death threats and been burgled since joining TOWIE.

"My life has changed so much and not all of it has been good," she told OK. "We never had any problems until I went into TOWIE, but some things have started to go wrong.

"This has all happened since I became famous. I feel so guilty for my family. My mum and dad have given me so much support.

"I understand what happened to Whitney Houston. People are like, 'It must be great to be famous'. It is, but they don't know how bad things can happen."

Childs said that her fears had been intensified after her former co-stars Billie and Sam Faiers were attacked by a girl gang in 2011 and Lauren Goodger saw her salon burned down last week.

"It would petrify me to be on my own," she said. "I'm scared. I don't like saying it, but I am. You become paranoid, afraid to go out."

She is a talentless hag and will never achieve the success Whitney had. She is famous for being on a scripted TV show and for her weekly outings in the gossip magazines. In 5 years time nobody will even remember her.

But, she really needs to get over herself. Roll on the day she is casually thrown to the side when a newer, younger, prettier waste of space comes along. Which, judging by the speed at which reality TV churns through 'stars', probably won't be too long.

I don't really care for Amy that much, however although she is miles further down the list as to celebrities in comparison to Whitney Houston,she is still a celebrity of sorts and what she highlights is the wackier,stranger,crazier and dangerous side of fame when it comes. So although she may be speaking from an over inflated ego, she makes some relevant points.

(I always laugh now when I see anything as to Amy anyway, I recall a thread marking a new series of Amy's late last year and people were saying if they'd be watching it, then Kerry, now very sadly lost to us, posted just 3 words, they were ''Nah,fanks honey''.
A comment that had me in stitches so whenever I read anything as to Amy I always recall that post from Kerry and laugh).
