At this stupid school you have to pay for your phone back if it gets confiscated in a lesson. I was only texting my mum about travel arrangements while the teacher had gone off topic and was talking about running with his dog. :bored:

It's a private school as well, we pay enough as it is.
I understand confiscation because it is against the rules to have your phone out but to have to pay for it back is ****ing out of order.

It was the same in my school, it was like 10 euro to get your phone back.

Wtf that's just dumb.
In a school in my area you have to pay £1 if you're spotted chewing gum
The system is *****ed

£5
I know it's not like a huge amount but that is like a whole meal I could buy myself for the weekend :hmph:

I was tempted to say no when he demanded me to hand it in, but I was on the spot so just did. If they try do it again I will say no. I live in a country half way round the world and it was the only time I can talk to my mum because of time difference so they can **** off if they think it will stop me texting in lessons.

Yes. I couldn't believe it when they asked me for money to get it back.

If the stupid head master had not locked it up in his drawer I would have just snatched it and told them to jog on as it is my personal property.
I am going to get my Mum to complain though, it is beyond stupid.

Kick off, it's the only way - let them know you're not a ******ing whimp that they can push about.

is that even legal

you should steal something from the school and tell them they can only have it back when you have your phone back -would do that anyway-

That's bloody ridiculous!

In my school, if we damage our laptops, (e.g. screen damage) we have to pay like, £100 to get the screen replaced!
We also have something called a Learning Passport, if thats damaged or lost, its a £10!

Schools are screwed up these days

How is that even legal? I used to just take my stuff (that was confiscated) out of their drawers too.
