Thought I'd make this poll 'cause there was some confusion (lol) in the gender thread about what it was about. This is about which gender you find easier to hang out with - male or female. Poll coming!

Gurls and nerdy lads are who I find it easier to get on with.

It's a hard one, I get on with both genders and have an almost equal balance of male and female friends.

If I had to confide something very important though, I would more likely choose a female friend. They also seem able to pick up on more when I am feeling low or am really anxious or worried about something or someone.

Get on best with males, especially if they are gay, but males in general, purely as really good friends. My best Tibb friends are all male, other than lovely Niamh.

Lucas, Visage, Ben, Scott, Glenn, among others.

Both really...I live and socialise (when I do) with males but work mainly with females...my three closest friends are 2 females and 1 male..because of who they are not their gender

I think I prefer having my male friends but I find it hard to get on with guys, so beyond the 10 or so close male friends I have I don't really have male friends, if you get me. So I'd probably say females on a casual basis but males for closer friends. Voted female.

Girls because;

1. I don't like Football and that's all any guy wants to discuss, and if they don't - then they're Gay and just want to flirt with me and I hate that.

2. Flirting with girls is fun.

3. They usually hold better conversations.

But sometimes I prefer being with lads, girls can get stressful and bitchy - lads just like to chill.

Girls and guys that aren't 'popular' if you know what I mean? The popular guys tend to be *****, insufferable bastards. :bored:

I get along more with my girl-friends as I'm into stuff they're into, fashion, shopping, accessories etc etc, where-as my lad friends are all into talking about sex, football and video games.

This.

Like 'jocks' and stuff. I like people that are just chilled and easy going and lovely people, unfortunately in school they're hard to come by.

My 4 bestmates - 2 guys 2 girls. I have about equal amount but I get on with a wider range of personalities with girls than guys. If that makes sense. And like Zee casually I get on with girls better.

Lads.

Females either get me or find me offensive :(

Girls.

Guys my age are so annoying an immature, girls hold better more meaningful conversation, are less rude, and generally are nicer people. But probably I just feel more comfortable around girls because I've grown up around my mum and two sisters.

So surely that generalisation makes you gay?

Doesn't really matter if they have the same interests as me

Kind of find it easier to talk to girls actually

I have more guy friends, but two of my closest friends are female.

Niall

I've got quite an even split of girl/guy friends. I have about 3 of each who I deem really close friends.

I do have female friends but more male ones, and it's normally more of a laugh hanging out with them

Marc

Female.

I can't get along well with the laddy lads, I'm just not that way. I can get along with most guys, just not those. Girls love me because I'm fit and have a massive implement.

I'd say female as there are only two males I communicate with, one is my sister's fiancé and the other is my friend's father, both of which are really nice and make me laugh.

probably male. though one of my best friends who I've knew since i was about 4 is female.

I haven't been close with another male my age for about a year and a half when my really close male friend left.

Lee.

On here, a mixture of both.

In real life, I prefer being in the company of men. I find them easier going and I can be more myself with them (excluding my besties obviously, who are all female)

I don't mind really, I prefer a mix of both

Smithy

Bit of both, my "friends" are all guys, but i get on well and have a laugh with all the girls I work with

Locke.

Just a normal day I'd say males, but going out for a drink an that a mixture is always better

Roy Mars III

you can't talk about personal sensitive issues with mates though, (well at least I can't) but I can with girls, they don't bring banter into every single thing

Harry!
04-03-2012, 04:34 PM
I would say girls since I am more friendly with them than boys, but I can get along with people quite well anyway. I think also as I was bullied quite alot in the past mostly by boys I have seeked justice with girls. But I get along fine with boys now.

Niamh.

Ironically, alot of new members thought I was a gay male :suspect:

Emm, I would say women in general, although on here I get on with both pretty evenly (given the girl to boy ratio)

Shaun

Generally speaking guys are more easygoing and come with a whole lot less emotional baggage - and are less likely to be complete bitches. That said, I have more female friends, and if they're a nice and friendly girl then I'll almost instantly gel with them. As long as a guy has conversation topics outside of girls, cars and sports though... I find them easier.

Harry!
04-03-2012, 05:27 PM
I can just imagine a TiBB night out with the lads from The Chambers just bring Mollie out as the only girl...
