It actually makes me laugh people like this. I have a few friends who are forever whining about how broke they are and how they can't do the majority of stuff they want to do with their lives due to lack of funds, yet will happily purchase stuff like this the moment it hits the shelves, even if they don't actually need it, just to be 'trendy'.
