How do you deal with THIS awkward moment?

When you're about to walk past an old acquaintance or someone you kiiiinda have gotten to know, and you don't know whether to make eye contact and smile a bit or not acknowledge their existence?

I usually just don't acknowledge their existence. :laugh:

My memory is so bad that I usually don't remember who they are, either my friends have to remind me or I might remember days later. But If I remember then and there who they are, I will always say hello ( unless i didn't like them and then i will ignore)

I would acknowledge them..I don't like how unfriendly humans have become. Surely if you walk past somebody you know, even if its not that well, you should still smile or something?

I'd be afraid they wouldn't have a clue who I was and think I'm some sort nutter :joker:

I'd get my phone out of my pocket, and protend I am on the phone and just, pretent not to notice them

I'm almost always listening to my iPod when outside so I'll just smile, wave or say hello and continue walking

If I'm walking right past them I'll smile and usually hope they won't stop and hold me up chatting, I hate people who stop and gab forever in the street or the middle of town.

But, If I'm not actually near them I'll just keep going.
