If both shows started at the same time next week, what show would you decide to watch?

BGT, and then if it continued like that each week I'd alternate which I watched first.

The Voice, definitely.

Although I will continue to watch both, alternatively, it doesn't bother me.

I do like BGT as well, I don't care about the 'competition' they're both good

The Voice. Hands down. The whole thing was fun. No laughing at the deluded or mocking peple who are probably suffering from some sort of mental illness. The voice was just a fun show to watch.

Hope it did well in the ratings.

The Voice, because it's the first time it feels like they could find talent to go anywhere near the standard of American Idol. In comparison to the States X Factor is a joke. Plus, it's nice to give new shows a chance instead of being force fed a diet of Cowell all year round.

But I've not really watched BGT for a couple of years. It's more than ran its course.

It got 8million =). Peaked at 9.63 and got 2million more viewers than BGT in the 20 minute clash.

Yeah this. I'm really over seeing them take the piss out of people who, like you said probably have some sort of mental illness, either that or are actors, either way I've really had enough of it.

The voice has some serious talent and so far I really like all the judges personality wise plus they're all pretty talented and successful themselves.

For me, The Voice, the only change I would like to the show is that the other coaches couldn't see and know when one of the others had pressed to turn their chair round.

Otherwise as I said on another thread,I can see this being a winner for BBC.

The Voice was fantastic. I put BGT on after it finished and it was just the same old **** we see every year + the judges are awful.

Exactly, it's so predictable. At the start when they were talking about having a "Subo moment" and then along comes the overweight opera guy.......could tell a mile off that he was going to be brilliant.

I really like all the judges too, and they are a very good mix, well chosen. BGT doesn't interest me anymore, I will probably watch the final, though even then I might channel hop, depending on what's on at the same time. The Voice is very fresh, and I like the new approach, there's been some amazing talent already, I'm certain at least one contestant will do very well out of it. The guy who came along with his girlfriend was good, Max I think his name was, the girl looked a bit like Louise Cliffe (ish)...she wasn't bad either, but didn't really stand out enough. If Simon Cowell had auditioned her, she'd have gone through on looks!

Yeah, that's what I like about it, all the contestants are good, but the ones that go through are exceptional, the bar is definitely raised on this show. Loved that guy too and also that very last girl who chose Will

The Voice :)

I'm bored with Britain's Got Talent now. Plus The Voice has great judges and a fresh take on the talent show thing, no lame acts and no onslaught of sob stories. I really like it based on last week's show, looking forward to it tonight :)

I thought The Voice was incredibly dull tbh. There wasn't any humour in it like there is on BGT and I probably won't watch again.

Both Britain's Got Talent and The Voice once again claimed victory in their Saturday night ratings war as early viewing figures were released.

The second round of the shows' head-to-head battle saw Britain's Got Talent once again secure the highest peak audience, with 12.6m - compared to the peak audience of 10.2m who tuned in to The Voice.

And BGT's average audience was also higher, with 9.9m tuning in for an audience share of 42 per cent - while The Voice averaged an audience of 9m - or 39.3 per cent of the audience share.

However, the BBC said that their show had once again beaten BGT during the 20 minute period from 8pm when the two shows overlapped.

During that time The Voice was watched by two million more viewers than BGT, with the latter show scoring 7.6m compared to the 9.6m who were still tuned in to BBC1.

The figures will come as a blow to Simon Cowell, who reportedly ordered a revamp of Saturday's Britain's Got Talent, after being left furious by the ratings loss to the ITV1 show during the overlap.

According to The Sun, the mogul ordered last minute re-edits of Saturday's show, with production staff not knowing until close to transmission time which acts had made the cut.

Britain's Got More Talent presenter Stephen Mulhern was also ordered to return to London from Manchester to re-shoot links for the ITV2 show.

The Voice will obviously get better ratings in the overlap though, people will just think they might as well see the end of it and switch over with loads of BGT still left

Hmm I reckon The Voice is going to affect viewing figures. But when they get to Semi Finals and the Final I'm sure they'll show the true figures.

I like that alot of the contestants play their own instruments. Only problem I have so far is possibly the dis honesty of the coaches. Yet to see any of then criticise the singers. At times some good feedback but alot of the time it's been the same old clichés.

I will get into The Voice in the live shows,I find the audition process is heavily staged in these talent shows anyway.

I hate how they ridicule people on BGT.

BGT > The Voice
People are just over hyping The Voice because they hate Simon Cowell.
Face it. The Voice is good, but BGT is way more funny and entertaining to watch.

I don't hate Simon Cowell but I am tired of that format and watching people being publicly humiliated when they're either A - Mentally challenged, B - Seriously disillusioned or C - Paid Actors

Sorry Niamh I deleted my comment, cuz I've just come to realise something.

Why on earth are we comparing a show that has comedians, dancers, gymnasts, magic acts, ventriloquists etc. to a show that purely just has singers?

BGT & The Voice are two COMPLEEEEETELY different shows ffs!!!

What we should be comparing The Voice to, is The X Factor :suspect:
