I have seen a lot of this posted on this forum and in the media and it is utter tripe
Granted he is a MASSIVE part of it but I would say that Keane and espcially King Eric were just as important as Fergie and in Eric's case a bigger influence

Cantona set the wheels in motion and that should not be ignored

what has he done for the club since retiring though? :conf2: I mean loads of clubs have great pasts but Brian Clough isn't exactly accountable for Nottingham Forest's low status right now

U seriously trying to suggest Keane was not a MASSIVE reason for our success FACEPALM guess you didnt see him single handedly carry us to the chAmps league final or destroy our main rivals in the league in Arsenal on the regs
And dont get it Twisted the way Fergie treated keane at the end was a disgrace

He played a part yes but nowhere near the level of Sir Alex.
Keane had no faith In the same players that Fergie did. Keane left and we went on the win the CL.

Prime Keane in our Rome and Wembley final teams vs Barca lifts the trophy above his head at the end of the game after abusing xavi for 90 mins how is that for influence

Fergie bought them two players, they probably wouldn't be known as legends now if Ferguson hadn't bought them.

I am a great fan of Alex Ferguson so cannot agree on this one, He has been and still is a massive asset to Man Utd.
