Its been boring so far. Cant get into it, not enough character development.
Does it sink every week? Or is it an ongoing drama.

Well perhaps ive read Aristas first post wrong but it comes accross as it tells the tale of each class and how they experienced the sinking each week.
Besides its already on April 14th which is the day before the sinking.

Well anyway you were wrong yet made out i was a ****** or something.
over the four episodes to the inevitable finale, each programme tells the story of intertwining sets of passengers, from their preparations for the voyage to their frantic scrabble to survive as the ship sinks. In the final episode, screened to coincide with the centenary of the Titanic’s sinking, we will learn who makes it.
Bad idea. Im bored already, to rushed and no character development
Marsh.

Too many characters with random encounters that will no doubt be revisited in other episodes, cliched dialogue "Have you met Mr Rich, he's got lots of money", no actual storyline to follow.
I think going back and showing the same timeframe each week is a bad idea. They'd have been better spending the three hours padding out the characters and their stories and then having the sinking in the 4th. It felt like they got on the boat, had a drink and then ran towards the lifeboats.
Also, without the budget they shouldn't have bothered. Titanic requires a level of grandiose. This looked like 20 people on a ferry.

It was actually awful.
I heard the BBC have done a drama series of Titanic aswell?
Hopefully they pull it off like The Voice is raping the X Factor critically.
Marsh.

I think they should just stick to documentaries. The main problem with the dramas is it's been done a gazillion times before. We know the same tired lines, the cliches, a lot of the details. No writer seems capable of truly doing anything "new" with it.
I love non-linear story telling but it just doesn't work here.

Second class, third class, steerage and the stokers.

Im laughing at Daniel-Lewis post, not the tragedy if that's what you was thinking? and the reason I was laughing was because I never thought anyone would have the guts to say what Daniel-Lewis said.

Haha i know you were laughing at daniel...Im agreeing with dan though its not a daft thing to say, as i think that may be the point of the drama... to have it sink every week :)

I think daniel-lewis has a fantastic sense of humour.
Back to the series, I found it rather dull to be honest but will watch the other episodes anyway.

It really lost me the 2nd week, I preferred a proper film that was on today called 'A Night to Remember', covered it far better.
Lost interest in this series, it was too much all over the place.

Watched the last episode, very good for a much much much much lesser budget then the film
They shouldn't really have focused so much on the build up. Couldn't be bothered to watch the other 3. All people really care about is when it sinks

It sank, or almost anyway, at the end of all the previous episodes. It was almost like they'd been on the ship 5 minutes and then they were scrambling to the lifeboats. It lacked any tension or character development needed to make us give a crap.

Yeah, from different perspectives. But it just killed any momentum or story they had going.
It was ridiculous how there was barely any noise and during the mad dash to the lifeboats at the end of each episode you'd find the main characters of that episode would have 20 minutes spare to sit and have a heart to heart or a domestic, no extras seen in the background, no noise, nothing. Convenient. lol

Enjoyed this more than the movie, I think..
The actors - I knew them all from different shows like Emmerdale, Waterloo Road, EastEnders and I swear to God I was convinced one of the Italian guys was Arg from The Only Way Is Essex, and I thought Madeline McCann's Dad was in this.. but found out it wasn't him.
The main reason this was great was because that horrible bitch Rose wasn't here, and we could focus on the actual ship. Something James Cameron should of noted all those years ago, silly bastard.
Anyway, It was a great series - could of been better, I think I missed Fabrizo far too much - but still great and this man [aside from Jenna Louise Coleman] was probably the greatest thing about it:
True gent.
