A Salford woman had acid thrown at her in a racist attack as she pushed her baby in a pram along a street.
The 29-year-old was walking along Broad Street in Pendleton on Thursday when she was approached by a man in his 40s.
He made a sexual and racist comment to her before throwing a container of corrosive liquid over her.
The victim, who is black, was taken to hospital with burns to her chest and back, and is in a stable condition. Her baby was not injured.
A police spokesman said it was believed to have been a random attack on the woman and it was being treated as a hate crime.

The man was described as being white, of stocky build, 5ft 10in to 6ft 2in tall, had very short, dark hair with a straight hair line and a bald patch at the back.
He has blue eyes, a dimple in his chin and a red mark like a burn on his bottom lip and he spoke with a British accent.
He was wearing a sleeved dark grey jumper with a round neck, black tracksuit bottoms with a grey and white stripe down each leg and black trainers.
