Poor guy:(, hope he gets well soon and the love of his loved ones will keep him strong.

He has always had a fantastic attitude on the pitch and is a fighter!

Just an update

He is in remission after chemo. Will now take medication for two years. His contract is up at the end of the season but he'll probably get a coach or ambassadorial role. He looks so bad :/ Feel for the guy. But think he will be OK

He looks terrible, but really pleased he seems to be through the worst. Fair play to villa fans as well for keeping the applause and support going.

Wow, he does look bad. Expected I guess with what he's been through. Wish him luck.

Awful what this horrid illness has done to his body.

Today is petrov day at the DW. 3000 Petrov masks have been made for all of our fans going to wigan. Think we've got even more than 3000 going now Wigan released more tickets because they've gone down and this game doesn't matter anymore

this should be given more coverage in football journalism... stop concentrating on all the bans and rulebreaks and personal affairs.
