A$AP Rocky album due Jan 15th [leaked]

That, internet, is a new lyric from gangsta princess Lana Del Rey, courtesy of "Ridin'", her collaboration with fellow New Yorker A$AP Rocky for the upcoming mixtape from Brooklyn production duo the Kickdrums. The tape, titled Follow the Leader, is out tomorrow. It also features Freddie Gibbs and Mr. Mutha****in' eXquire, among others, and will be available here.

UPDATE: The Kickdrums have just removed the Lana/A$AP Rocky track from the mixtape! Sorry, everybody.

The Kickdrums tweet: "Had to pull the Lana - A$AP track due to label reasons. Song got too big too fast. Gonna explain in more detail in an interview today. A$AP wants the track for his album. Its as much his and lana's music as it is ours so we have to respect that."

Yesterday, we caught a preview of "Ridin", a new track featuring Lana Del Rey and A$AP Rocky, which is included on Follow the Leaders, the just-released mixtape from Brooklyn production duo the Kickdrums. Freddie Gibbs, Mr. Mutha****in' eXquire, and more are also on the tape.

Billboard's hip-hop blog The Juice recently spoke with A$AP Rocky about his collaboration with Lana Del Rey on "Ridin'". There seemed to be some mutual admiration within the song itself-- if you recall, A$AP raps, "Lana, that's my bitch/ You could tell by the swagga and the lips." But that was only the tip of the iceberg. A$AP says Lana is the girl of his dreams:


You didn't know about me being a huge Lana Del Rey fan? That's all I kept talking about all winter. I first had a crush on her from seeing her on the Internet-- I fell in love with her voice the first time I heard it. I probably heard it in July, August for the first time, I think it was "Blue Jeans." And from then on, I'm like…I love her! Mind you, we never even spoke to each other, and then in Complex [magazine], when she said I was her favorite rapper, I was like, 'Oh **** no, man. I gotta work with her! My dream girl acknowledges me!'

A$AP also told Billboard that, for his followup to LIVELOVEA$AP, he has enlisted Santigold and Pharrell, as well as Hit-Boy, the producer of Kanye West's recent collaboration with DJ Khaled, "Theraflu".

Nah Right points to an interview between A$AP Rocky and Philadelphia radio station Power 99, where Rocky revealed the release date for LongLiveA$AP. The album is out on September 11. Check out the interview below.

The album will potentially feature "Goldie", contributions from Santigold and Pharrell, as well as "Ridin'", Rocky's collaboration with Lana Del Rey that was pulled from the Kickdrums' recent mixtape.
