I don't understand the hate for the Yorkshire accent. Yeah it may sound like they've never been educated but the accent itself is nice imo

I was tempted but I wasn't sure whether it's the north or south I don't like. I think it's the north, though.

Wales is by Shrewsbury which is near Birmingham, so more South I would say as Wales is a bit more towards London I think than it is say Manchester or Newcastle.

North Welsh accents are horrible when they're pretty much indecipherable... I do like the Cardiff accent though

I like the accent they have on Gavin and Stacey, pretty sure that's set in the south. There is one Welsh accent I can't stand though.

I have probably one of the mildest i'd say but still it sounds strong on recordings.

I used to hate Welsh accents but they've started to grow on me alot. And I couldn't tell the difference between a North and South Welsh accent either.

Also, I don't know what the difference between Cornish, Devonian and Somerset is either but I'd probably choose one of those

The one that Americans seem to think everyone in the UK shares - people from a higher part of London who talk like they're up their own arse and think they're better than everyone else.
I don't even know where that is on the poll - but yes the kind of Posh sounding accent.

One thing I don't get is being from the Black Country, why do people confuse our accent with Brummies? The 2 accents seem similar, although they are different:joker:.

Scouse. Even though I'm from Liverpool myself, the accents are very "rough" and irritating to listen to, even though I'm quite Scouse. :laugh2: Erm, I'm not too keen on the chavvy Mancunians, either. Most of the time, I haven't a clue what they're on about. :bored:
Nothing wrong with Brummie. :conf2:

Most UK accents aren't great really, apart from Geordie which is alright, and the Gloucestershire one
Glouc and Berkshire/country just sound the same to me

My current accent. I've been told I have a thick Essex/Cockney accent but told but others it's just northern, which is weird. I'm a mix between the two, I guess.

South Wales, the "valleys" accent as it's known here. Most people from Swansea have it, too. Even though I was born in Wales I am so grateful that I do not have the horrible South Wales accent because I hate it.

Lancaster/Lanchsire accents should be on the poll, too. I actually can't stand all that "oop noorth/narwth' nonsense. Honestly so annoying.

Brummie. Just an annoying sound all round. An external auditor came into work a while ago from Birmingham. Lovely fella but I did get sick of the accent.
The other would be Essex, epitomised by the awful Amy Childs and the rest. If everyone from Essex doesn't sound like those idiots then apologies, but in general, that one.
