Comedy Central is resurrecting Matt Groening's Futurama three years after the animated series was pulled from the schedule of the Fox broadcast network.
Thirteen new episodes of the show will air during 2008, with the original cast members returning to voice the new programmes.
"We are thrilled that Matt Groening and 20th Century Fox Television have decided to produce new episodes of Futurama and that Comedy Central will be the first to air them," said Comedy Central senior vice president David Bernath

Cheers for that news Corkie, I loved Futurama, good to see it coming back. Probably be late 2008, even 2009 before we see it in the UK, but I've got Family Guy, American Dad and Samurai Jack to satisfy me in the meantime!
I love my animation! (still waiting on the highly anticipated Star Wars cartoon)

I've seen the Stewie Untold Story dvd, great stuff. Haven't got round to buying it yet though. Family Guy rocks, maybe even more than the Simpsons!
IIRC, if you have the dvd of Episode 3 of Star Wars (the most recent one made), either on the commentary or on the extra stuff, Lucas mentions that there will hopefully be a Star Wars animated series coming out in the future. Apparently he was very impressed with the Clone Wars animation (which you should watch if you haven't seen it) and wants to have the same guy do a whole series. The animator/director was the same person who does Samurai Jack.
I've heard a few more rumours about it but nothing really concrete. Apparently it won't feature any of the well known established star wars characters, but will feature a lot of the planets etc that we have seen in the films.
