this is doing my head in and I cannot think of the term for it.
A sentence that has at least 3 consecutive words starting with the same letter...... there is a name for that but despite googling - I can't find it.
ie: The weather on that dark, dismal day deflated everyone
Any of the brainy students with a liking of English able to tell me what it is please? It's doing my nut in.

:amazed: I was almost right !!
A tautogram (Greek: tauto gramma, "same letter") is a text in which all words start with the same letter. Historically, tautograms were mostly poetical forms ([1]). The difference between a tautogram and alliteration is that tautograms are a written, visual phenomenon, whereas alliterations are a phonetic one. Most cases of alliteration are also tautograms, though certainly not all since different letters can frequently take on the same sound (e.g., circle segment or Catcher Ken). Similarly, most tautograms are also alliterations, although exceptions exist when using letters with multiple pronunciations (e.g., crazy child or pneumatic plate).

Get out of her ya madman!
thanks folks.... it was the word alliteration that was in the dark recesses of my mind ! Though that strictly wasn't correct - technically it is a tautogram!
I'll think of perky boob mammograms as the word association / memory recall and I'll never forget it again!!

Close...
Sibilances are sort of akin to alliterations - where different letters produce the same vocal sound ie: license. both 'c' and 's' produce the same vocalisation though have a different sound elsewhere .. ie cat / shape.
