Too many of us have 'too much' that we take for granted and don't realise how fortunate that we really are, not till we really sit down and think about it - we all moan and gripe that we want this, want that, moan about schoolwork, courses, exams, jobs, parents, people.

When you sit back and think about it though: what things in life do you realise that you take for granted?

Internet - music, to keep in contact, shopping online, pleasure etc. etc.

All the basic things poor countries do not have the variety of - food, drink, education, jobs.

I think everybody takes their parents for granted until they become independent in the big wide world, especially with things like bills and that.

I'd say in a huge part: our domestic utilities. Running water, electric, gas and our NHS. oh and of course: shelter as well as the convenience of food and it's availabilty.

1. My parents
2. Internet
3. Game Of Thrones
4. Video Games
5. Dexter
6. Food
7. Water

That's all I can think of so I threw in a few jokey ones.

The only thing I take for granted off them is that whenever I get a lethal disease im dead as they're not gonna save me.

Free speech is not the same thing as consequence-free speech. Other people also have free speech rights to label you, as well. It may not be accurate, or even fair, but free speech works in all directions.

My family. No-one ever has a serious argument - my mum and step-mum are pretty much best friends so I never feel any guilt when I want to go and see my dad and his side of the family as my mum is absolutely fine with it. Compared to a lot of people and their families I'm very lucky as I don't have that stress in my life.

You've got that batchelor pad waiting for you !:amazed:

It's a good motivator for you though for your future plans - if you do want to return, you could in a few short years for a career (whatever that may be).

Indeed :)

I am working hard at my A-Levels and doing much better now grades wise. I'm getting the positive out of the situation :)

Definitely the internet. Probably couldn't do 90% of the things I do now without it.
