I actually don't hate Buffy but it's just that the fans treat it as if it's this perfect show when it's not imo, also i've seen it all before so I don't know why it gets so much credit.

Overrated (commercially): Facejacker. It just isn't funny at all.
Overrated (critically): Doctor Who. Its so crap. It always repeats itself and ugh I hate it.

Underrated (commercially): Battlestar Galactica (the 2003 series). Most people turn their noses up at it because they think its some crap, stupid sic-fi show, but its really a drama thats just set in space. It never got the commercial credit it so rightfully deserved.
Underrated (critically): Mrs Brown's Boys. I don't get why critics hate it. Its so ****ing funny.

I don't see the correlation. All shows have elements in common with each other that's just always going to be the case.

But to take the Rachel/Joey comparison, again, that was after Buffy.

Most Underrated: Roseanne (infinite re-watch value, the jokes never get old, dealt with issues that had never been dealt with in sitcoms before)

This episode proves that Roseanne was much more than just a sitcom. I've never seen any other sitcom deal with domestic abuse in such a real and frank way before or after.
