It's been released Patrick, well for the PSN Network and Xbox Arcade, I downloaded the trial but never got chance to play it, some stuff that has been released for that has been quite good though, like Limbo and the Tomb Raider spin-off.

I'm a huge fanboy for the original too but that's never happening. It had some of the best maps and I found the weird capture the thing excuse for a campaign mode oddly engrossing. It was obsessive and tough as nails.

I'm not sure what to think of them. I like the idea of the Wii U's tablet/controller thing, but Nintendo don't seem to know which direction to pursue. They're trying to keep the Wii U looking family friendly, but are pushing to get back the hardcore gamers? They need to make their minds up.

They just seem so half assed lately. Most of their recent products have been meh at best (to my opinion at least). The 3D on the 3DS seemed little more than a gimmick to my mind, and it seems that the Wii U's controller will just lose its novelty very quickly.

I like the WiiU controller, I think it could actually be really cool. It's obvious the Pro Controller will be a secondary thing, like the retro controller or w/e they called it for the Wii.

If the PS4/720 don't come out next year/early 2014, the WiiU will do well. It's been so long since the last new home console, you could sell pretty much anything at this point. And the Wii branding will sell millions alone. Can't see it failing.

Exactly. They can't exactly expect the non-casual market to flock to their console when the only games they extensively promote are cutesy Mario titles (not that Mario ain't great, but still).

And yeah. They're silly by being the first to launch. Unless they smash the price down real low to compete (which I don't see happening given how expensive the controller looks) then they don't have a hope in hell. I don't want them dominating the next generation anyway. Nintendo irritate me far to much now. All they do is milk anything they sell for money. They don't care if its ****, only if it will make them $$$ or not. :bored:

They have to launch first, they don't have a choice with how relatively low the specs seem to be for a next gen console. It's going to look outdated as soon as the PS4/720 drop.

And I guarantee it'll be cheap. Hence they didn't go fall out on improving the hardware.

I agree. I just seems like some slightly better Wii. It needs a new name and identity to avoid confusion with its predecessor. Nintendo need to define how it'll work too, but I guess all that will be ironed out in the next few days.

I'm really interested to see how games take advantage of the second screen on the controller. It would be great for something like Fallout. You could have the Pip-Boy down there. :amazed:

Activision has just released its E3 presentation lineup, which it'll be showing off from June 5 to June 7 this week.

The highly anticipated Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be headlining the company's presentation, followed by a new entry into the successful Skylanders franchise called Skylanders Giants. Transformers: Fall of Cybertron will also be making a huge splash.

AC3 and Far Cry 3 have been on. Heavy Rain creators announced Beyond, which looks interesting. There was their Smash Brothers clone. Think that's pretty much it.

I thought the Sony conference was quite good, they perhaps spent a little bit too much time on that Wonderbook but anything's better then the drivel Microsoft shat out. Nintendo always puts on a good conference, they always have a few good surprises up their sleeves.

It's ironic how Nintendo usually do leave with the best conference because they've basically by proxy destroyed Microsofts for years now.

Rumoured it'll cost 30,000 yen which is £250 in our money. However, expect Europe to get shafted as always so £299. :(

The Nintendo conference was a little uncharacteristically weak. It lacked surprises or big moments and focusing on Nintendo Land as the big finish was a bad idea. I still want a Wii U but I hope they show off more games that aren't just ports in the future.

Luckily, we should see more at Toyko Game Show before the Wii U launches. I was hopefully going to get a Vita or Wii U, after E3 it's neither for now.

Shall also watch the 3DS conference myself. Would like a revision before I invest in one though.
