How ridiculous, what if the song doesn't get played much on the Music channels or the radio?

It means it will come over here within the next 5 years, and even if it's only in Germany it doesn't make it ok for them to have that happen to them imo.

We had the whole music video incident a few years back, remember? They eventually came to an agreement and Vevo came onto the site

I actually don't remember that as i've only been interested in YouTube as i've got older.
GEMA is so infuriating, I reckon over 90% of popular music from the UK in the last 20 years in unavailable on YouTube because GEMA has withheld the rights to it. Literally, if you want to see a music video you've got no chance, the closest you'll get to hearing anything familiar is a version with the pitch raised slightly. I don't understand how they don't have the rights to show videos because so many of the songs I try to look up have definitely been released in Germany and/or have been shown on the music channels here. It's madness. This is a sad day.
Is that from the perspective of being in Germany, Greg?
