Is this a term that applies to you? Do you put your family over everything? Would would you forgive them for anything?
Discuss.

Yes.
Yeah I put my family before anyone else, I don't know about forgiving them anything though it depends what they had done.

Yeah I would unless something happened that forced me not to.
Not really, aside from my parents I value my friends more than my family

I would risk my life for my friends and family, well at least I think I would anyway.
Erm... I think I would forgive my family for anything unless they did an horrendous crime.

It has its limits, obviously. If my mother went on a genocidal rampage around ASDA with a flamethrower, like she keeps threatening, I'd hardly help her carry the shopping home.

My lovely son I would lay down my life for. My mum is very precious to me also. My brother and his wife can ****.
I think I'd help Shaun's mum carry the shopping home, smh Shaun. Youth today, so lazy and disrespectful

Family above everything for me BUT not sure I would forgive them for anything, depends what they did, some crimes are unforgivable even if commited by family.

I will answer Yes, maybe not to forgiving anything they do, it would really depend on what they did, especially as to crimes like a murder for instance.
Blood is thicker than water. Yes
I would never forgive anybody in my family for murder in any case other than accidential or in defence. Lying about something serious maybe, illness could probably tear a family apart of at least shaken the foundations.

Despite the fact I have the most disfunctional family ever.
I would have put my life on the line for any of them, I love them all.

Definitely, to all except forgive them for everything. I could forgive pretty much any crime though, as long as it did not involve children.

I would put my children's lives before my own..I think most mothers. I can't imagine how I would feel if one of them were to say commit a heinous crime...it would be torturous emotionally..but I can't imagine ever not loving them..and I can't say that about anyone else. I don't think I could ever walk away from them..no matter what they did

Yes. Not too sure on the forgiving side though...especially if it was something done to me, or that would seriously affect me.
Serious crimes I would of course not at all be happy about, but I think I'd try and forget, rather than forgive. I honestly don't think, no matter what, I could ever end contact with my family.

In most cases they would be forgiven. Depends if they were sorry for their actions or not. I don't think I could ever forgive them in such cases of crimes like cold blooded murder etc, no matter how repentant they were. When they **** other peoples lives up is pretty unforgivable in my book.

I've never been close to any of my relatives. I can't say I care about many apart from my mum and dad. I've never grown up with the family unit so think I could care what the rest of my family did.
Blood isn't thicker than water for me, my friends have stuck by me a lot more than my family have

Yeah. Fam comes first. Especially Mum and Lil sis.
There is one cousin I will never speak to again though. I would probably want to stab him up If I saw him.

I can relate to that a bit InOne, some of my family as I have said on here before, I wish I was out when they came visiting.
The other valid point is that we are given a family whereas we 'choose' our friends, they as friends are people we choose to share often a lot more with than some members of family so what you say is a good point.

It has its restrictions but generally yes. Doesn't mean I won't argue back if they piss me off.
