Concerns: Fiona Phillips (left), whose father had Alzheimer's and who has campaigned for better care for the elderly, presents the programme in which Jane Worroll (right) reveals the treatment suffered by her 80-year-old mother Maria (centre), who also has the disease
The Daughter got her answer — courtesy of the secret camera hidden in that clock. But it was an answer so painful, so unexpected, that it will for ever scar my family

Don't know if anyone was watching this. And i didn't know where to put this cause it is serious.
A Daughter filmed her mother, a old woman inside of Ash Hall care center who has Alzheimer's being hurt by members of staff.
The tape showed the poor woman being slapped six times while a man who wasn't even supposed to be in the room. The woman was then dragged while on the bed and was also forced to eat many times. The male, Johnathan Aquino has been arrested and sentenced to 18 months in Prison.
It actually shocks me how people can treat the elderly with no respect whatsoever. How could they drag a woman, hurt her, force feed her and all in all make her miserable.
Sorry i'm fuming.

What an absolutely stupid bastard. Poor woman. You just don't expect that sort of thing in a care home - of all places.

It must be heartbreaking to see a loved one treated like this when they are weak, frail, and unable to defend themselves. It's no wonder some people have reservations when putting an elderly relative into a home. Would they want to be treated like this if and when the time comes for them? No. So why treat others this way? I can never comprehend such despicable actions.

Once the other inmates know what he is in for he will I am 100% certain get more than a slap.
Other prisoners hate people who batter women, the elderly and harm children.

as normal - anything that effects me - you no whats going to follow.
Jonathan Aquino Publicity 24.4.12
welcome in to my promotion,
my aim is to highlight and advertise,
because if he is not shammed,
failed is my exercise.
did you catch his name,
Jonathan Aquino i wont repeat,
because i do respect his privacy,
i dare not HIGHLIGHT his H.M.P cell with on sweet.
so what has Jonathan done,
why do i want people to follow,
i want him to feel vulnerable,
while having awful stuff in H.M.P to swallow.
4 workers have been sacked,
they wont be working at Ash Court,
for gross misconduct,
there punishment has left me distraught.
Alzheimer's is so distressing,
that's why Jonathan can not be forgot,
he refused to acknowledge his primary job role,
it wont rest till he is in his plot.
the sick were ignored,
but that's not the worst crimes,
on one filming,
a patient was hit 6 times.
i have to end,
Ash Court was in 2009 awarded "excellent" ratting,
Care Quality Commission were wrong,
all this underhand stuff is most painful and irritating.

Just...begs belief. A horrible, horrible misuse of power, and, since my aunt owns a care agency, a complete discredit to a noble profession.

It is disgusting, but im pleased the covert camera caught this and is helping to raise awareness. The checks and qualifications these care workers have is minimal, it really needs to be regulated better.
I think the majority of care workers are fantastic..it's a very dedicated job and the ones I know do it extremely well and are very caring and have a lovely relationship with the residents...but there are always going to be rotten people in any profession..and that's what this guy is..he could have been doing anything and he'd still be a d*ck

Tbh, don't know why we have the 'Filipino' bit. If he hit an old lady, he hit an old lady and he's a prick for it. I don't give a monkey's toss where he comes from - completely irrelevant. Sorry, just had to get that off me chest. Newspapers. :bored:

the point being - we have so many people unemployed in this country and we employ people from other countrys that treat out people like this - it can not be right.
That's really awful, makes me feel really sad

Well he must live in this country. He doesn't fly over from The Philippines every day to get to work.

Because they need their bigoted agenda to survive.

This is NOT an isolated incident... 11 members of staff in one home? this is the tip of the iceberg. And shows that private care homes are not monitored effectively, employment suitability of overseas staff lost? pull the other one!
