I know some people who just point blank refuse to watch a film if it has subtitles. I know you have to concentrate more on the screen, but would it bother you? And I mean an actual film. Not just some random foreign porn flick.

Yes, it doesn't bother me at all. Dubbed films annoy me however.

I watch Japanese Animes with subtitles on so yes I could easily watch a Film with subtitles.

At the end of the day if a story is good then I will watch it, why should I let subtitles put me off?

I hate Dubbed, they sound all cutesy and nothing like the character is suppose to be like.

Of course. If it was dubbed though, I couldn't watch it. The audio not being in sync annoys the hell out of me.

I find them a bit distracting!

Yes definitely. I always find after around 10 minutes you don't feel the distraction, the subtitles come across naturally. (Unless it's a really bad film)

Can't watch dubbed. And even though subtitles require total concentration, I don't mind them at all. Some of my favourite films are in foreign languages - Amelie, Goodbye Lenin, Das Leben der Anderen, Battle Royale...

The Swedish Girl With the Dragon Tattoo dubbed is actually really good, could barely tell the difference, I saw a dubbed version of Come and See though and it was awful, voices sound stupid and were completely out of sync

I agree... I thought the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was so well-dubbed I kind of forgot about it.

Yeah, I remember having to watch Il Postino for my a-levels and actually quite enjoyed it, actually forgot the subtitles for a bit, it just seemed like a part of it

Yes definately, I ALWAYS have subtitles on when I watch TV so it doesn't matter too much for me. But only on DVD's though. I would hate it at the cinema.
