My personal favourites are probably Counting Crows or Train, LOL. I don't listen to many bands really.

Most probably Foo Fighters or someone.

I personally like Snow Patrol & Keane (although I have not heard their new album yet)..

-didn't vote the Rolling Stones since they're on/off a lot (in terms of whether they're still "around"-

if they are, then definitely them.

the Rolling Stones aint what they used to be. One of the greatest bands of all time? yes. One of the best bands today? no.

The OP said nothing about "right now", just acts that're still together. If the RS indeed are, then they're by far the best band still together (IMO of course :spin2:)

Can the band still be together, missing someone who's passed away, or do they have to be in their original form?

Tbh I thought it was who is the best band at the moment with it saying "currently".

The Stones haven't announced a split so I assumed they were still together.

They're still together, but are they one the greatest live acts today? that's what i thought this meant, the best band with the best performances right now. Like which rock band is putting on the best shows RIGHT NOW.

I don't think the Stones as a band right now are the greatest band in the world. The stones in the 70's yes, Today? no.

I don't think the Stones as a band right now are the greatest band in the world. The stones in the 70's yes, Today? no.That is your opinion and you are perfectly entitled to it. The thread, however, asks for the greatest band. whether we are talking about now, twenty years ago or twenty years in the future, the Rolling Stones should be a part of that discussion
