If The Voice is live then why is everyone wearing the same clothes as they were last night?

How can it be recorded last night if the public have been voting for the last 24 hours?!

The public vote closed last night at 9pm. The show was recorded shortly after.

Well thats rubbish! Takes the whole excitement from it.

So 2 people left last night?

daniel-lewis-1985

The bbc have missed out on 24 hours worth of voting revenue. Idiots.

Yeah, we know who, well most do if you looked at spoilers ect.

This is gonna cripple their ratings if people can find out who was voted off without having to tune in tonight.

Yeah, it was announced they're recording the results on Saturday nights. The lines were open for a mere thirty minutes after the show.

The entire show felt so lacklustre tonight. X Factor do their results shows far better.

I don't see the point in it really, just ruins the suspense and they don't even make any more money from it. Can only think it'd be down to avoiding a clash with BGT?

Yeah, they can't afford to do two lives shows a week, with one being on for only 30 minutes.

Surely as a license fee-funded broadcaster the BBC isn't allowed to make money from voting revenue?

Yeah, they can't afford to do two lives shows a week, with one being on for only 30 minutes.This. Live shows are very expensive and the BBC are very cheap.

TBH it might ruin the shows credibility. Results will be leaked no matter how they try to stop them. The Beeb need to dip into their pockets and fork out for two live shows.

I think most viewers think it is a big deal judging from facebook, twitter, ds and other articles on google.

If they cant do 2 live shows then why not just have 1 long show on a Saturday?

I agree the results show should be live, but lets not forget this is the first series. The BBC went in to it gambling £20million of license fee money not knowing how it would go down with the public.

Obviously its now a ratings smash so, given the reaction to the results being pre-recorded, they'll probably reconsider it next year.

Not while BGT is on.

BGT allways move their show to not compete with The Voice.

Im sure an extra 30 minutes wouldnt make a difference.

i wondered why when holly was saying who was thru on the very 1st one the crowd actually cheered before she called out ruth, is there a screen that tells everyone or something?

Well thats just your opinion but from judging by reaction over social network sites and news articles you seem to be in the minority.

Respect my opinion and dont just abruptly shut me down and perhaps i will respect yours.

To be fair, it is no massive deal to have it pre-recorded.

It is really easy to avoid spoilers to be honest, heck I didn't know the result until about half past 5 last night.

I agree again.

I didn't know the result until the actual show as I was on this forum most of last night anyway.

I think it is a big deal for a show that could rival X-Factor to be scrimping and saving by not having two live shows. It wont spoil the enjoyment of the show but it shows the BBC dont do this kind of show very well.

Well it is a while since the BBC did anything as good as the Voice, I actually find as to X Factor and its live results show that it's way too long for starters and the format is really annoying, unless there is a singer on that I want to really see, then I only join the X Factor results show for the last 15 minutes.

I like the way the Voice is presented on Saturday and we really only need to know the results anyway,so a just over half hour show on a Sunday is fine by me.
As to the voting not lasting for 24 hours, well, this must be a first in that the BBC isn't ripping its viewers off for a change.

I doubt very few people care about whether or not it's live. That's not going to stop people from watching, outside of the tiny minority that look for spoilers. And even then, if you care about looking for spoilers, you probably like the show enough to watch it regardless.

Its not being well run at all really. They need to extend the show so it seems less rush and make the results live, even if that means 2 shows on Saturday. The stage and performances need working on also, yeah its about the voice but about half way through I lost a bit of interest.. not exciting enough.

Number 1: Learn to spell and how to correctly string a sentence together.

Number 2: By coming into this thread and not even talking about the topic but instead bitching about fellow forum members you're breaking the rules.

Number 3: I dont care if my threads have been moved, why would that even affect me?

I was so looking forward to what I thought was going to be the live result show on Sunday night. I now can't help wondering if Saturday nights shows are actually live - maybe they were recorded in the afternoon!!!!!!!! Anyway I agree with Daniel - the non-live result show on Sunday night has spoilt The Voice a little bit for me.
